Compliance Summary
General Overview
Hilton Mainz is a business-focused hotel with direct access to the Mainz Convention Centre. The hotel caters primarily to corporate meetings, conferences and seminars, with additional capacity for formal social events.
Location
Hilton Mainz is located in the city centre of Mainz, directly adjacent to the River Rhine and close to the historic old town. The surrounding area is urban and mixed-use, incorporating civic buildings, cultural attractions and commercial activity, while remaining appropriate for professional meetings.
The hotel is approximately 30 km from Frankfurt Airport, which can be reached in around 30–40 minutes by taxi or approximately 45–50 minutes by public transport via Mainz Hauptbahnhof. Mainz Central Station is located around 1.5 km from the hotel and can be reached in approximately 5–10 minutes by taxi or around 15–20 minutes on foot. The Mainz Cathedral (Mainzer Dom) and Gutenberg Museum are both within walking distance of the hotel, generally reachable within 10–15 minutes on foot. Public transport connections and cycling infrastructure provide sustainable access options for delegates. The hotel offers 120 on-site parking spaces within its own parking garage and has access to an additional 545 spaces at the nearby Rheingoldhalle car park. Coaches may set down and pick up directly at the hotel entrance and may also use the hotel parking facilities as required.
Design
Externally, the hotel features a predominantly modern architectural style with extensive glass façades, complemented by understated traditional elements that reflect Mainz’s historic character. Internally, public areas and meeting spaces are designed with a functional and professional emphasis. The Rhine meeting rooms are modern in style, featuring large windows and natural daylight, while the Goldsaal reflects a more traditional ballroom design. The internal layout supports compliance requirements through clear zoning of meeting areas and controlled access, with meeting rooms grouped together on a single dedicated floor to limit unnecessary through-traffic.
Meeting Spaces
Hilton Mainz offers a total of 10 meeting rooms, all located on a single dedicated meeting floor on the second floor of the hotel. The meeting areas are divided between the Goldsaal and the Rhine rooms, which are separated by a short internal corridor. The largest meeting space is Goldsaal A–D, offering approximately 450 sqm and accommodating up to 380 delegates in theatre-style with front projection. All meeting rooms are located on the same floor as the Goldsaal, allowing for efficient delegate flow and breakout use. The meeting spaces are suitable for conferences, seminars and formal corporate meetings and can be configured for private or exclusive use as required.
Bedrooms
The hotel offers a total of 431 guest rooms across 11 bedroom floors, located within the Rhine Wing (floors 1–7) and the City Wing (floors 1–4). Accommodation categories include Hilton Guestrooms (Standard) and Executive River or City View rooms (Executive). All standard rooms are equipped with business-focused amenities including a work desk, complimentary Wi-Fi, laptop-sized safe and tea and coffee-making facilities. Executive rooms include additional amenities such as Nespresso machines, which can be removed upon request. Mini-fridges are standard and cannot be removed. The accommodation mix supports large-scale residential conferences and multi-day meetings.
Restaurant and Public Spaces
The primary restaurant, Vineus, is located on the first floor and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It offers traditional German cuisine with international options and has seating for approximately 171 guests. Vineus can be fully privatised with a buyout for private dinner meetings. Additional catering and dining is available in the hotel’s brasserie, which can accommodate up to approximately 250 guests and is an enclosed space with glass doors, suitable for private dining linked to meetings. No additional restaurants or outlets are located on site. Menu styles include chef’s choice menus, seasonal buffets and pharmaceutical-cap compliant menus.
