General Overview:

Opened in 2015, the Hilton Munich Airport is an unrated multi-purpose venue aligning with our assessment criteria for a 4-star business hotel, with a range of facilities that offer genuinely flexible space for various meeting types from 2 to 1,000 people.

Location:

Conveniently positioned between Terminals 1 and 2 of Munich Airport the hotel´s location is within 1- minute walking distance. excellent transport links to ensure that the city center can be easily reached by car, train or public transport.

There are direct links from the airport to the city centre by S-Bahn rail service and bus. The S1 and S8 S-Bahn trains depart from the airport to the city every 20 minutes and the journey to the main station takes approximately 45 minutes. Furthermore, there is direct access to the A92 and A9 motorways and provides connectivity to the city center of Munich and a number of convention locations such as the ICM – International congress center and Airport Clinic Munich. For delegates driving, there are 1,252 parking spaces at parking garage P26, which is operated by the airport.

Design:

The styling, furniture, and equipment are modern, contemporary, and practical for meetings, all located within an impressive atrium-style design. This is eye-catching, though does not alter a clear business focus visible in all areas of the hotel.

Bedrooms:

There are 550 bedrooms, located in the east, west, and north wing of our hotel, with 210 standard rooms, 133 superior rooms, 46 suites, and 162 deluxe rooms. The standard category is uncharacteristically large with a size of 30sqm and includes an un-stocked minibar (only water), soundproof windows, blackout curtains, air conditioning, a safe, tea and coffee making facilities, a range of free air TV channels, but no Pay TV.

General décor follows a contemporary and practical theme with bold colours, spacious with a large workstation. A new wing (2018) has an Alpine design with rooms that are in deluxe and executive categories. Overall the feel is of a comfortable hotel for business or leisure travellers.

Restaurant: 

Located off the lobby on the ground floor, this is the location for guest breakfasts, lunch, and dinner.

Meeting Space:

The hotel has 2,800 sqm of dedicated flexible event space, including interconnecting meeting rooms with daylight and the Atrium which holds up to 450 people for dinner. Divided into two separate conference wings east and west of the central atrium, the venue offers 30 meeting rooms, which can accommodate various group sizes from 2 to 1,000 participants.

The conference center 'west' area is located on the ground floor. and can be rented exclusively, including the biggest ballroom for large product launches, The largest room Munich I and II can accommodate up to 450 people in theatre style, for large dinner meetings it can take 300 people in a banquet setup.

Adjacent to Munich I and II is the Foyer area I and II which is also private. Including the Foyer area, the whole room can be divided into four sections, ideal for integrated coffee breaks or small exhibitions. An adjacent foyer area can host small exhibits and registration desks, one medium-sized room for workshops or investigator meetings, and three breakouts for board meetings, discussion groups, office space, or storage areas.

Experience:

Due to its location close next to the airport and road network, Hilton Munich Airport has significant experience in hosting both corporate and non-commercial healthcare events, such as small training and large all-under-one-roof meeting solutions.

Fitness:

Guests have access to the Mountain Hub Spa, modest in size the space includes a small pool, sauna, and fitness room.

Labelled as Mountain Hub Spa, the space is located one level below the ground floor with no visibility from the meeting areas of the hotel. Modest in size the space includes a small pool, sauna, and fitness room. Treatments are available but with only two rooms but this is not a Spa offering built around a branded experience including multiple treatments and a large external membership. Imagery in marketing terms may suggest to any viewer that facilities are more extensive than in reality such as the image of the pool shown on the home page.

The hotel does have a Michelin-starred restaurant, which is located on the ground floor, isolated and tucked away towards the back of the main restaurant. Any catering functions for HCPs would not include options here.

Both the city center of Munich and the surrounding area offer visitors much in the way of culture, entertainment, and historical attraction. However, the distractions of the city can easily be avoided due to the venue’s location, whilst maintaining access to the infrastructure of Munich.
