General Overview:
Novotel Amsterdam City is a 4-star hotel located in the heart of Amsterdam’s business district
Location:
The hotel is near the RAI Congress Center and the Amsterdam RAI station is within 5 minutes walking distance. From here you can easily reach Amsterdam's central station and Schiphol Airport in just 15 minutes. The hotel is located in the heart of Amsterdam ‘de Zuidas’ business district and next to the A10 highway which dissects the city.
Design:
Novotel Amsterdam City in a spacious and modern Lobby. In the lobby, you will find STACH. STACH is a food store where you can get local ready-made food, bread, and healthy snacks. If you are in a hurry you can also get some takeaway coffee or tea.
Bedrooms:
All the 610 rooms of Novotel Amsterdam City are modern, timeless, and based on the needs of the business traveller and are equipped with a work desk, safe, and iron board. All the bedrooms have a mini bar with a complimentary bottle of water, a Nespresso machine, and tea facilities.
The 116 executive rooms do offer a filled mini-bar which is free of charge however if additional bedrooms are required for the allocation to HCPs, the mini-bar would be emptied. The rooms have a light and open bathroom with a rain shower.
Meeting Space:
The 9 meeting rooms and 1 board room are located on the ground floor while the other 10 board rooms are situated on the first floor. The venue of Novotel Amsterdam City has over 1000m2 of meeting space with a separate entrance. In total, there are 20 meeting rooms including 11 boardrooms. The walls are flexible for this reason various set-ups are possible. When combining the largest meeting rooms, Calla 1-3 and Rosa 4-6, a total of 1000m2 of meeting space can be used with 2 break-out rooms, Rosa 7+8. The boardrooms are located separately from the convention centre on the first floor.
Restaurant:
Restaurant URBN Food & Drink is the location for guest breakfast, lunch, or dinner. In URBN Food and drink, international cuisine is served. The restaurant has 360 seats and is suitable for both a la carte and buffet and meeting lunches can be served here. The restaurant area can be divided into three separate areas and it is possible to privatise these areas for groups but for dinner meetings, a private meeting room is required.
Fitness:
Hotel guests have access to a gym with a sauna but there is no pool.
As a business hotel, leisure facilities are not core to the positioning of the hotel however, guests have access to a fitness room with a sauna, located on the first floor near the meeting spaces however, a pool and spa treatments are not available. On the ground floor, you can find a shop, where the guests can buy typical Dutch specialties. .
This venue is located in a city renowned for its historic and leisure attractions however, the hotel site is located some distance from these areas and has minimal impact on the venueís business proposition. To attract the weekend leisure market this venue may promote its facilities and nearby activities. These supplement its business services, which can stand alone and are only modestly impacted by facilities and activities aimed toward weekend guests.
