General Overview:
The Palma Congress Center opened in 2017 under the management of Meliá Hotels International and is located an 8-minute drive from the international airport, which offers access from 174 destinations and 30 countries.
Location:
The city center is a 15-minute walk away and the motorway that connects Mallorca’s key investigator centres i.e., hospitals, universities, etc. starts 100m. from the venue, also providing access to the main harbour.
Design:
Opened in 2017 the complex is formed by the Palma Congress Center and the Meliá Palma Bay hotel and was awarded the Spanish Architecture Prize for its sustainability and innovation in using recycled materials in its construction. The building architecture is modern with a glass front, full of brightness, and with neutral colours to facilitate any event branding.
Meeting Space:
The Palma Congress Center is spread across three floors and has a total of 27 meeting rooms plus 2 Auditoriums (1966 seats in the Illes Balears Aud. & 471 seats in Mallorca Aud.), with a 2300 sqm exhibition area. The variety of meeting spaces and independent areas, with separate entrances and loading bay each, allows to organize three different events simultaneously.
The venue has 3 main entrances at ground level plus 1 direct access from the hotel to the 3rd floor of meeting spaces of the convention center, providing full privacy in case there are running different events simultaneously. There are 2 loading bays (Expo area and Auditoriums stage) and goods lift from the basement – parking.
Bedrooms:
As part of a complex, the Palma Congress Center is connected with the Meliá Palma Bay 4* hotel. and the Venue Healthcare Champion can support bedroom bookings with the Melia portfolio.
Restaurants / Catering:
All catering services at the convention center are provided by Meliá Hotels International, with menus designed and aligned to the requirements of meetings involving healthcare professionals.
Experience:
More than 40% of the events run at the venue are from the healthcare industry and has secured the position of Palma de Mallorca as a destination for professional and scientific meetings and events,
Associations and corporate clients, national and international, utilise Palma Congress Center to organize product launches, congresses, symposiums, product trainings, sales, and internal meetings.
Fitness:
There are no leisure or sporting facilities at the Palma Congress Center.
