Compliance Summary
General Overview:

Location:
Occupying a city-center location, it is also popular with leisure groups, as it provides easy access to the nearby mainline train and London Underground stations at Waterloo and Westminster whilst being accessible within one hour from the city’s major airports i.e. Heathrow, Gatwick, and London City by car or public transport.
Design:
Styling throughout the hotel is modern and contemporary without attempts to create what may be considered luxurious, deluxe or upscale features.
Bedrooms:
The hotel has a total of 399 guestrooms, 92 rooms in the Executive Studio category, and 44 Junior Suites and Penthouses, and although not considered a luxurious or deluxe option, have an additional seating area.
Restaurant:
Atrio Restaurant & Bar provides guests a place for buffet breakfasts, lunches, and dinners and is located on the mezzanine level at the front of the building but for private dinners, a meeting room is required.
Meeting Rooms:
Seven meeting rooms are provided with 4 meeting rooms on Conference Level 1 and 3 more on Conference Level 2 and both floors can be privatised to provide the confidentiality required for healthcare meetings. Their room capacities allow for the hosting of advisory boards and product training to meetings of up to 100 in theatre style. For high-level boardroom-style meetings, the Terrace Suite may also be used.
On conference floor 1 there are 2 meeting rooms allowing for 48 or 60 in classroom style. But can be split to provide 2 rooms for 18 – 24 in classroom style.
On Conference floor 2 are two further rooms which can accommodate 18 - 24 in a classroom each or 48 when combined.
Opposite these rooms is the Terrace Suite, which offers a private area for teas/coffees that opens out to a meeting space for up to 20 boardroom style. An outdoor terrace, only accessible from the Terrace Suite, can also be used for breaks.
Experience:
The hotel is a short walk to Guys & St Thomas’ Hospitals and is used regularly for meetings that have links to the hospital.
Due to its central London location and strong transport links the hotel is popular with healthcare companies for sales conferences, and training meetings and has experience in holding clinical trial meetings. It also provides bedrooms for conferences hosted by sister property Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London.
Fitness:
Guests have access to a fitness gym, sauna, and steam room but no there is no pool. An externally managed Aurora Spa manages three rooms that provide chargeable treatments.
Compliance Hotspot
External popular leisure travel websites, such as Tripadvisor, support the hotel's 4-star rating but naturally focus on the hotel’s attraction to the leisure market. As does the hotel’s Facebook account. The tourist locations of the River Thames, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, and Westminster are all close by but only visible from higher category bedrooms which would not be allocated to HCPs
The hotel advertises Spa and Fitness. Whilst guests have access to the gym, the spa has three treatment rooms and is managed by an external company.
