Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London is a 4* contemporary and stylish, purpose-built hotel centrally located on the South Bank of the River Thames, diagonally opposite Guys & St Thomas’ Hospitals and opposite the Houses of Parliament and other tourist sites in the area.

 

The venue is well known for being one of Europe’s leading conference hotels, ideal for residential events of up to 700 guests or 1,000 for larger dinner events. The hotel has 32 flexible meeting spaces, including an extensive pillar-free Ballroom.

 

The venue benefits from the nearby mainline train and London Underground stations at Waterloo and Westminster whilst being accessible within one hour from the city’s major airports i.e. Heathrow, Gatwick, and London City by car or public transport

Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London is a contemporary and architecturally circular building that opened in 2010.

 

Its interior presents a stylishly designed venue throughout, especially within the public and F&B areas,

 

The ground floor entrance lobby hosts, a Concierge desk, a Group Check-in desk, illy Caffè, and access to both the meeting spaces and the hotel's main reception, restaurants, and bars.

 

Ichi Sushi & Sashimi Bar and Brasserie Joel on the first floor are all modern and contemporary and actively used by the public.

 

There are 1019 bedrooms offering three main categories – Superior, Studio, and Suites, which vary in size and amenities.

Guests have access to the Mandara Spa located on Level -4 which offers a comprehensive fitness/gym studio and pool.

 

The hotel offers 3,400 sqm of flexible meeting space, 32 meeting rooms including one of London’s largest pillar-free Ballrooms, and 1019 guest bedrooms.

 

There are a total of 32 meeting rooms – accessible from the ground floor lobby, made up of large, medium, and small rooms making the facility flexible for all types of meetings especially Sales Conferences, Product Launches, and Advisory Meetings. The hotel offers layered conference facilities, ensuring privacy and adaptability based on requirements.  

 

The largest room, the Westminster Ballroom on Level -3 can accommodate up to 1500 delegates but the optimum size of the meeting including catering and bedrooms would be 550 – 700 guests. There are many flexible options for smaller meetings and/or syndicate rooms including the Plaza Suites – 13 individual suites of which 10 have removable walls. The Park Suites on the ground floor offer an additional seven rooms as well as 11 City Boardrooms located on each bedroom floor.

 

For larger events, bedrooms can be hosted by sister property Park Plaza County Hall which is opposite.

Being a short walk to Guys & St Thomas’ Hospitals the hotel is used regularly for meetings that have links to the hospital.

 

The hotel has large multi-functional conference and banqueting facilities and has experience in holding large-scale events (sales conferences, product launches, dinners) and smaller healthcare events (advisory boards). It also works well for and with mainly commercial healthcare organisations.

Compliance Hotspot

 

The hotel uses doormen to meet and greet/assist with luggage/information at the main entrance however, there is little else to show that the venue attempts to use service and a guest-to-staff ratio to leverage luxury or deluxe impressions.

 

The Brasserie Joel Restaurant has two AA Rosettes awarded to it but this is more for process rather than for a ‘fine dining experience.

 

Overnight guests have access to the Mandara Spa (a Park Plaza brand) and fitness gym located on Level -4 and is therefore not visible from the main communal areas of the hotel. There is a small pool with a sauna and steam room and pre-booked treatments but are chargeable.
