General Overview

The 4-Star Superior Radisson Blu Béke Hotel, Budapest, due to the city centre location promotes itself as having the facilities to serve both business and leisure travellers.

 

Location

The hotel is located in the city centre on Grand Boulevard with tram and underground stations within 3 minutes walking distance from the hotel entrance while the Western Railway station is 4 minutes away. The Liszt Ferenc International Airport (BUD) is 23 km away and can be reached by car or public transport within an hour. The Grand Boulevard, where the hotel is located in the ‘vein’ of the city conveniently offers good public transportation (tram line No.4,6, metro lines (M1 and M3) through the city. Its proximity to the business and commercial district, healthcare company offices, and extensive public transportation offer quick and easy access to hospitals and healthcare offices such as the MH EK Hospital located on Podmaniczky Street, just a 5-minute drive away.

The largest congress center, a regular host of healthcare congresses in Budapest, is 5,86 km away and 10 minutes driving time.

 

Design

The hotel has more than 100 years of history and was built as one of the first high-standard hotels in the city under the name Hotel Britannia the classical façade and the high ceiling height of the front side rooms are in keeping with a building with classical architecture.

 

Bedrooms

The hotel has a total of 247 rooms with 96 Superior rooms which are the hotel's standard category. There are 134 Executive rooms. Other rooms and suites are unlikely to be considered suitable for the allocation to HCPs.

 

Meeting Space:

Meeting Rooms are located on two floors offering separate and private meeting spaces from the lobby and from other public spaces of the hotel.

The first floor is dedicated to meetings with 8 meeting rooms and an adjoining restaurant, The Globe, exclusively used by the meeting delegates.

On the ground floor is the Experience Center with 6 meeting rooms using airwall technology on 400sqm and a separate reception area. When they are converted, a total of 14 event spaces can be offered that can host a wide variety of small and large events for Healthcare Professionals, such as training courses, meetings, lectures, conferences, and workshops.

The biggest meeting room is the Experience Center. This is the name of the ground floor’s meeting venue where 6 meeting rooms can be opened together with the foyer representing 443,5 sqm of private meeting space together. This can seat 300 people in theatre style. If this space is used as one big meeting room, the hotel still can offer 8 different breakout rooms on the first floor of the hotel, next to the Globe Restaurant.

In our opinion, the flexibility of the 14 meeting rooms representing airwall technology is an important factor when hosting international sales conferences requiring exhibition space close to the meeting area.

 

Restaurant

The Globe Restaurant is the place for buffet breakfast for all the hotel guests until 11:00 every day but provides a dedicated and privatised space for group lunches and dinners.

Zsolnay Café is on the ground floor of the hotel, open for the public and for the hotel’s guests from 8.00 am until midnight with a separate entrance from the Grand Boulevard. It can be used for informal coffee breaks due to a part of it is partially separable.

 

Experience:

The hotel regularly hosts advisory board and investigator meetings as well as hosts accommodation blocks for groups attending congresses in the city.

 

Fitness

There is no gym and spa facilities cannot be organised.

Compliance Hotspot

The hotel’s Google perception rating aligns with the hotel's official 4-star rating however, external travel websites typically focus on the hotel’s location to the tourist sites although none are visible.

There are no leisure or sporting facilities such as a gym or spa on the property.
