General Overview

The Crowne Plaza Caparica is a modern multifunction hotel located in coastal area near Lisbon.

It has a dedicated conference centre with 7 meeting rooms for events up to 320 pax.

Location -

Located in a mainly residential area, Lisbon’s city centre is accessed by the 25th April bridge which separated the city from the hotel.

The International airport is 25 minutes by taxi and Lisbon’s congress centre is 30 minutes away.

For delegates driving the hotel provides 200 managed spaces along with coach bays for group travellers.

Design

The hotel’s external appearance is one of concrete and glass with expansive windows to provide the interior common areas with natural light.

Interior spaces present a modern, an open and light atmosphere with light and neutral colours and contemporary furnishings.

Meeting Space

The hotel has a dedicated conference centre connected with the hotel but has its own separate entrance.

With 7 meeting rooms, boardrooms for 11 to 320 in theatre style can be organised.

Bedrooms

The hotel’s 227 guest rooms are split across the 1st to 5th bedroom floors and come with work desk, laptop desk, safe, coffee machine, kettle, minibar, and 171 rooms with microwave.

Microwaves and coffee machines can be removed on request if needed to be allocated to HCPs.

Restaurant

The Raimundo Mediterranean restaurant is open all-day and located on the 2nd floor with 260 seats indoors and 40 on an outside deck. Privatisation be provided on request although for dinner meetings, a meeting room is recommended.

Other catering outlets include a Lobby bar, Pool Bar and a meeting room that can be converted to a dinning space with a private kitchen, more for internal meeting functions.

Experience

The hotel has experience in working with healthcare and lifescience companies and have hosted kick off meetings.

Fitness

The hotel has a large fitness gym with free weights and exercise machines.

There is an indoor pool and a seasonal exterior pool, with a SPA with 7 treatment rooms, sauna, steam rooms, Vichy shower. These facilities are on the ground floor of the conference centre.

This venue is located outside the city centre but with easy access via road and public transport to the main areas and congress venues in Lisbon. It is also just 3km from the sea which can be seen from some areas of the hotel.

The hotel has only 7 meeting rooms and is advertised more towards the leisure traveller.  It has a spa offering treatments as well as a well equipped gym and pool onsite plus a 9-hole golf course.  As such some may find the location unsuitable for healthcare meetings and events unless booked in conjunction with attending an event at one of the city congress centers or large properties.

The venue is denoted on hotel main website as 4 star based on a small number of reviews and in line with modern 4 star rated properties on other online booking sites.
