GENERAL POSITIONING
The Radisson Blu Liverpool, situated close to the city centre in the business district is a contemporary 4* style property with a range of facilities for business meetings and leisure guests.
SALES AND MARKETING
The contemporary design of the interior and use of the atrium and food and beverage outlets in marketing might lend some to consider meetings and events a lesser part of the hotels proposition. This is not the case as the meeting rooms are central to the hotel’s proposition and revenues and the marketing image in reality delivers a contemporary business hotel on arrival.
LOCATION
The venue is located in the business district of Liverpool close to the Mersey River and within a short walk of the traditional city centre. Liverpool John Lennon airport and the train station are minutes away by taxi.
FIT FOR PURPOSE
The Radisson Blu Liverpool has a successful corporate proposition as a venue offering a wide range of residential meetings and event options. The dedicated functional and practical facilities for this purpose are all situated on the 1st floor with access via the staircase leading from the lobby or the elevators. The venue is an authentic meeting location and has some experience of corporate and medical society events.
FACILITIES
This contemporary styled venue has a modern tower block exterior and is accessible from a street predominantly populated by businesses such as solicitors and lawyers. The rear view to the entrance looks to the Mersey River including the ACC, Liverpool’s Convention Centre and a number of riverside apartments. The design throughout is contemporary and via marketing collateral might give the impression of a contemporary style throughout the hotel. This is not the case with particularly upon arrival a venue that though having contemporary touches can also be seen as a business destination with the meeting space prominent on arrival.
Meetings: These rooms have been designed and are totally orientated towards business meetings and events. There are a total of 9 meeting rooms – made up of medium and small rooms making the Radisson Blu; Liverpool flexible for all types of meetings especially Sales Conferences, Product Launches, Advisory Meetings and HCP cascade meetings. The venue has some healthcare sector experience with corporate and particularly Medical Society meetings. The largest room, the Kings Suite can accommodate up to 180 persons theatre style and is divisible into 3 sections. This room is simple in terms of décor with views of the Mersey along its length. With other medium - smaller rooms located on the same floor, there is plenty to choose from. There is a dedicated M&E desk for support meetings. Radisson Blu offer innovative solutions i.e. Brain Food and Brain Box Breakout Rooms which might integrate well for certain healthcare events.
Bedrooms: are of two types Urban and Cool and other than differing colour schemes provide the same facilities and size. The bedrooms are comfortable and offer the expected environment and amenities for a meeting delegate. Rooms have Pay TV. There are a few suites and no executive floor.
Leisure: The ARK spa incudes a small swimming pool, sauna, gym and 2 treatment rooms. Though not renowned for its Spa the hotel does have these facilities with private membership. It is located with its own private entrance not visible from any of the other public and private areas and realistically can be considered to be in its own enclosed space. There is free wifi throughout the venue.
SERVICE
There is a clearly defined “Meet - Yes I Can” service philosophy together with a 100% guest satisfaction guarantee to show how important service is to Radisson Blu. There are no attempts to deliver a guest to staff ratio that supports a luxury proposition.
The Radisson Blu, Liverpool, can be described as being in the heart of the action by the city's famous waterfront / docks area. This could imply that the venue is dominated by the facilities and views . This is not the case, as the hotel is discreetly located behind the waterfront / docks area, with a predominatly business setting surrounded by offices and other "for business" locations.
