GENERAL POSITIONING
The Radisson Blu Milan is a 4-star business hotel located in the suburbs of Milan to the North-West of the city surrounded by residential buildings and some green spaces. It is 40-minute taxi journey from either Malpensa or Linate International airports and 15 minutes from Central train station that connects to both airports and most regional cities in the north of Italy.
The MiCo Convention Centre is only 3kms away and parking is available for those delegates driving and it is possible to reserve a maximum of 50 places.
The Hotel’s Congress Centre can be privatised for healthcare groups and has experience of hosting Advisory Boards starting from 7 people up to 250 people in theatre style for an Investigator Meeting. Access is via the lobby but also an external dedicated entrance. 7 meetings rooms are located on the first floor, 3 meetings room on the ground floor, 2 meeting room on the sixth floor.
For more, small private and confidential meetings, the Presidential Suite on the tenth floor, can be used. The hotel has 250 recently renovated rooms. Spacious (minimum 30 sqm) and furnished with a modern design, all our rooms feature wooden floors and comfortable King or Twin sized beds. The room amenities include: complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, coffee and tea facilities, new 50’’ flat screen TV with satellite channels and USB sockets. Our restrooms are equipped with rain shower, professional hair dryer and Radisson Blu branded amenities.
Radisson Blu Milan has 250 rooms with 104 in Standard and appropriate, in our opinion, to be appropriate for the allocation to HCPs. And 46 in Superior which may be considered if the additional amenities are removed. Upgrades such as Premium Rooms and Suites are likely to be considered appropriate for the allocation to internal staff.
Radisson Blu Milan offers a modestly sized fitness room with a sauna, bio-sauna and a covered pool but spa treatments are not available on the property.
SALES AND MARKETING
The venue’s website uses the Radisson Blu template to provide an authentic representation of all facilities which supports its business positioning with some language designed to attract the weekend leisure traveller.
The hotel understands its position as one for business and this is reflected in the modest language and images used to represent the hotel.
Promotional materials include a glossy meeting brochure which concentrates on the detail for meeting bookers and aligns to a business product with no references to suggest the hotel is positioned as one that could be considered luxury.
A Google search will result in listings from online travel and meeting booking platforms all confirming the hotels 4-star rating hotel.
The hotel uses Facebook to communicate with leisure guests and inform them of promotions, activities and any other news related to the hotel. Instagram is used more as a "look book" of the hotel, with better quality pictures to inspire potential travellers to visit Milan and the hotel.
LOCATION AND SETTING
Opened in 2007 the building has a dark brown and sand colour exterior and this modern and contemporary feel is continued inside and characterized by its minimal design and spacious and comfortable common spaces.
The hotel is located to the North West of the city centre and just 3 kilometres from MiCo Convention Center.

FIT FOR PURPOSE
The Radisson Blu Milan hotel has a position as a venue for business with some modest facilities to attract the leisure market due its proximity to the centre of the city.
The Radisson Blu brand has a structured approach to business meetings and the hotels conference centre supports this with a range of rooms for meetings of different sizes and when required plenary and breakout combinations.
The conference centre area is located on the ground and first floor and can be accessed externally or directly from the Lobby or rooms and provides a space for meetings, small or big exhibition and a private area.
The hotel itself aligns to the Radisson Blu brand which provides a multi-purpose venue for both leisure and meetings, the décor and character support the meeting offer and delivers a business hotel with nice touches and a genuinely personal almost boutique feel.
Our Radisson Meetings concept has been developed around the three pillars of successful events: personal, professional and memorable.
Complimentary Wi-Fi and modern audio-visual technology are supplied as standard.
FACILITIES
When entering delegates enter the lobby atrium space with a marble effect reception desk, bar and main restaurant.
The Lobby bar is located in the ground floor and overlooks the lobby and reception.
The Leonardo restaurant is located at the front of the Lobby bar with an open plan format for 180 guests and an internal garden. With stylish design this area hosts the buffet breakfast, à la carte lunch and dinner menus with buffet options for groups. This could be also used in a semi or private format.
Meetings: There are 13 modern and contemporary meetings rooms at the hotel that can accommodate meeting sizes from 8 – 250 persons theatre style.
The hotel ‘Blu Conference’ on the ground floor is the hotels largest space for a maximum for 250 people theatre style but can be divided into two rooms, using a removable and soundproof wall with a dedicated foyer area for catering services.
On the same floor there are two other meeting spaces, which can accommodate smaller meetings in U-shape or theatre styles. This can be the ideal solution for getting a reserved Event in one floor only, with a separate and dedicated entrance
On the first floor a total of 7 breakout rooms with coffee stations inside each meeting room.
A central foyer area, used for registration, for coffee breaks, and table-top displays connects with the elevator, to the first floor, where are located all other medium/small breakout rooms. Each room can accommodate smaller meetings in cabaret or boardroom styles.
Bedrooms: Radisson Blu Milan has 250 rooms with 104 Standard and appropriate, in our opinion, to be appropriate for the allocation to HCPs, and 46 Superior, which are larger but featuring the same entry-level amenities as Standard Rooms.
Upgrades such as Premium Rooms and Suites are likely to be considered appropriate for the allocation to internal staff. For larger groups, they can be considered for the allocation to HCPs if added amenities are removed.
Renovated in 2019, the guest rooms of Radisson Blu Milan are furnished with a modern and contemporary design, all with wooden floors and King, Queen or Twin sized beds and come with business amenities such as complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, coffee and tea facilities, Laptops sized safe, 50’’ flat screen TV with satellite channels and USB sockets near the bedside tables.
Bathrooms are equipped with rain shower, professional hair dryer and Radisson Blu branded amenities.
Views from hotel bedrooms are of the surrounding residential streets.
Leisure: There is a modestly sized fitness room in the building with a sauna, bio-sauna and a covered pool but spa treatments are not available.
SERVICE
The service levels are consistent with a venue suitable for healthcare meetings and events.
Our responsible way to organize Event will allow you to get also “Carbon Neutral Radisson Meeting” certificate.
The Radisson Blu Milan has some fitness facilities. Including a small pool, fitness room and sauna. There is no spa and the overall proposition, in our opinion, balances with the suburban business location and facilities of the venue.
