General Overview
The Hyatt Regency Mainz is presented as a business hotel but not DEHOGA classified, and is therefore unrated. 

There are 10 meeting spaces that aligns to the requirements of small advisory board meetings, to large sales conferences or investigator meetings. 

With 268 bedrooms and meeting spaces for up to 500, residential meetings for up to 250 theatre style are optimum here.

Location 
The Hyatt Regency Mainz is located on the banks of the Rhine, south west of Frankfurt, south of Wiesbaden, and is close to, but not within the Old Town of Mainz and in walking distance to Mainz Congress Centre and the nearby train station which is 2.5 kms away. For international delegates, Frankfurt International Airport is 28kms and 28 minutes by car or taxi. 

For delegates that drive the hotel provides 100 car park spaces with a further 800 in the adjacent public garage. For group travel, coaches can park outside.

Design 
The external appearance and architecture of Hyatt Regency Mainz is of a modern and contemporary concrete building with a large glass entrance atrium, that also integrates Fort Malakoff, a historic nineteenth century fortress.

Inside, the interior style of the hotel is contemporary and modern without any historic touches as connected to the Fort.

Meeting Space
The 10 meeting rooms are split across the ground and first floors with the naturally lit, 540 square metre ballroom, on the ground floor, and features a large patio. The ballroom can be separated to provide 3 separate spaces with Ballroom 1 and 2, combined, and 3, able to provide classroom meeting for 120 each.

On the first floor, are the other 7 meeting rooms supporting boardroom style meetings for 6 to 54 in classroom style.

Within the three floors of the historic Fort Malakoff, are the Palatorium, Malakoff Bar and wine cellar, which can accommodate parties and events for up to 150 guests. 

On the back site of the hotel (next to the ballroom), there is a second hotel entrance. The door can only be opened by hotel guests with their key card.

For meetings requiring privatisation, the Ballroom area and Foyer can be be provided on an exclusive basis.

Bedrooms
The hotel’s 268 bedrooms are split across 6-bedroom floors with the 6th dedicated as an executive floor accommodating the Regency Club.
Business amenities include a Work desk, laptop safe / tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary wi-fi. 

Bathrobes and Nespresso machines can be removed, if needed, on request,  mini- fridge can be emptied but not removed.

Restaurant
The hotel’s main restaurant is called “Bellpepper” and is located on the ground floor with regional cuisine and international influences.

Inside it seats 144 with a further 70 seats outside. The 18 seat “Wine Boutique” is a private dining room located inside Bellpepper, but more likely to be considered for internal meeting groups.
The Bellpepper can be privatised but there is a minimum spend applied, and there is a room rental fee.

Additional catering outlets include the M-Lounge & Bar located within the hotel lobby. In summer, food and drinks are also provided in the Malakoff Sommer Bar (terrace) and at Hafenbar beergarden.

Experience
The hotel has experience in hosting Product Launches, Product Trainings, Internal Meetings, Leadership Meetings, Kick-Offs and works with local hospitals, universities, healthcare and life science companies.

Fitness
The hotel provides guest with access to a fitness gym with free weights and exercise machines. 

These facilities are located on the basement floor and include a pool and spa, owned and managed by the hotel. Treatments are provided at an additional cost.
 

The hotel is not situated in the historic downtown of Mainz but does overlook the River Rhine.

Although not officially classified and external travel sites do not mention any star rating however,  the hotel is likely to align to the facilities and quality provided by a superior 4-star Business hotel. 

The hotel advertises the Club Olympus Spa & Fitness however, these facilities are on a separate floor from the public areas and should not provide a distraction to delegates at a meeting on the ground and first floor.

Fort Malakoff, a historic nineteenth century fortress is integrated into the Hyatt Regency Mainz building and provides unique event spaces and is not advertised as a historic tourist attraction.
