General Overview
The Elba Madrid Alcala is an urban 4* business hotel with a conference centre with business clients mainly during week days, and a mix of business and leisure during the weekends.
Location
The hotel is located next to the business park Las Mercedes on the outskirts of the city and away from Madrid’s city centre and main tourist sites.
The city can be reached by direct metro and the nearest station is only 200m away.
Madrid’s International Airport is 11 minutes away and IFEMA, the location for many lifescience congresses including the 2024 EHA is 12 minutes away.
For delegates driving the hotel has 70 managed spaces and for group travel, coach bays are available.
Design
The hotel’s architecture presents an exterior that combines modern elements with a classic style.
The hotel's interior spaces combine functionality and aesthetics. The rooms are typically spacious, bright, and decorated in a contemporary style, offering modern amenities.
Meeting Space
The 15 meeting spaces can be privatised on request and are spread over 2 floors, are extensive and designed to accommodate small meetings to large conferences.
On the ground floor you will find out 3 rooms of 450m2 that can be spread over a space of 1300m2, which gives access to our 1200m2 garden.
On the first floor the hotel has 123 breakout rooms of 50m2. Some of them can be opened into a space of 100m2 or 150m2
Access to the meeting rooms are via the hotel or by a separate and dedicated entrance.
With the range of spaces and sizes the hotel regularly hosts congresses, conferences, exhibitions, fairs, catering functions.
Bedrooms
The hotel has 261 guest rooms of 23 m2, and are spread over 4 floors, from the 1st to 4th floor.
Rooms com with work Desk, laptop safe, free tea/coffee making facilities (kettle), complimentary high speed wi-fi, direct telephone, air conditioning, central heating, minibar, led TV. Nespresso machines and bathrobes in Superior rooms
Mini fridges can be emptied with a cost. Bathrobes and Nespresso machines and bathrobes are not included in standard rooms and can be removed if required.
Restaurant
The hotel’s ground floor À476 restaurant is the location for guest breakfast, lunch and a la carte dinner serving a local menu and seating 150. There is an area of 50 pax in the restaurant that can be privatised. For larger and more privatised dinner meetings, a function room is required.
Experience
The hotel hosts both internal staff and external HCP meetings, from congresses to small training courses and works with science parks, healthcare and life science companies, private companies to associations.
Fitness
The hotel’s fitness ground floor gym provides guests with free weights and exercise machines, both?
The hotel is located in an urban area of Madrid close to the airport and city's congress centre.
As a 4-star conference centre the venue has little, in our opinion, by way of compliance risk.
