General Overview
The Steigenberger Hotel Köln is a 4-star standard business hotel located in the city center with 305 bedrooms and meeting spaces that can accommodate 180 in classroom style in the largest meeting room.
Location
With a city center location, it is close to but not in the immediate vicinity of the city’s historic landmarks.
Cologne airport is 17 kms away and takes 21 minutes by taxi and the city’s congress center opened in June 2024 and is 9 minutes away using public transport. For delegates driving,
there is a public car park underneath the hotel with 400 spaces. For group travel, coaches can pick up/drop-off but not park outside.
Design
The hotel’s exterior architecture is modern, with clean lines and a minimalist approach thatreflects contemporary design principles.
Inside the hotel is elegant and contemporary, presenting high-quality materials such as polished marble, wood, and metal accents, enhancing the overall sense of comfort.
Meeting Space
The hotel’s 7 meeting rooms are all on the first floor with the possibility to use a separate entrance to enter the meeting area, ideal for confidential meetings.
The largest plenary room has the capacity for 330 in theatre style with breakout rooms able to support with capacities up to 250 in theatre style.

Bedrooms
The hotels 305 bedrooms are split across 10-bedroom floors each with a work desk, laptop safe / tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary wi-fi. Mini bars are provided empty, nespresso machines can be removed on request.
Some bedrooms are promoted as offering views across the city including the cathedral but there are no views of the cathedral from business / standard category.
Restaurant
The hotel’s main restaurant is the 150 seater Sands, located on the 1st floor, as per the meeting rooms. This is where guests take breakfast, lunch and dinner for prebooked groups and there is a minimum number of 30 and can be privatized on request.
Bar 19NullZwo can also be used for informal meetings and networking.
Experience
The hotel has experience of hosting a variety of HCP meetings and holds MSAs with international specialist agencies.
Fitness
The hotel provides residential guests with a fitness gym with free weights and exercise machines.
The is no pool or ‘spa’ although treatments could be booked through external partners.
The hotels location makes it attractive for weekend leisure guests but whilst the hotel affords guests with views of the cathedral, the city's tourist sites are a few minutes away.
