General Overview:
The Radisson Blu Hotel Paris Boulogne is a contemporary four-star hotel positioned for business and leisure with facilities to support international and regional meetings.
Location:
Located in the heart of the business district, west of the traditional centre of Paris, Charles De Gaulle International Airport is just over an hour away by car transfer or 45 minutes by train and Orly Airport is 30 minutes away by car and 25 minutes by train. For those driving the hotel offers 10 private parking for guests.
Porte de Saint-Cloud metro station is a 2-minute walk away and all Paris’ major train stations, including Gare du Nord, can be reached in under 30 minutes.
Bedrooms:
170 guestrooms are split into four categories: Standard category, superior, premium, and suites. There are x20 standard, x70 in Superior, x70 Premium, and x10 Suites. Superior rooms, in our opinion, are appropriate for HCPs and provide 28sqm of space with flat-screen TV, air conditioning, and tea/coffee facilities. Decorated in orange and copper tones in a cork and wood style with white bedding, these rooms are contemporary in styling but do not suggest a luxury product. Some superior rooms do include a small balcony that either overlooks the inner vineyard or the Eiffel Tower, however, the tower is seen from a distance and would not be considered or sold as an upgrade.
Meeting space:
The hotel has 6 naturally lit meeting rooms on the Ground Floor, including the largest Cabernet and Sauvignon, when combined, can accommodate 110 in classroom style.
Individually they can accommodate 110 and 120 theatre style, suitable for product and national sales meetings. The other four rooms, located on the other side of the lobby and, can be used for breakouts or as privatised catering space - these meeting rooms offer the seclusion required for key opinion leader and mid-size healthcare meetings.
Restaurant:
The A.O.C. restaurant and terrace provide guests a place for buffet breakfast, lunches, and dinners. The interior provides most of the seating and is of a stylish décor with dark wood flooring, white and purple velvet chairs and artwork provide a sense of style but not one associated with fine dining restaurants. The terrace is the hotel restaurants peaceful outdoor seating area and has room for c.30 guests but is not used in winter months.
Fitness:
The hotel offers guests the use of a modest fitness centre which is not visible to meeting attendees. There are no pool or spa facilities.
Experience
With the Le Palais de Congress and Porte Versailles congress centers only a 15-minute car journey away, the venue is often used during international medical society meetings for accommodation and add-on meetings such as investigator meetings, press launches, and other meetings supporting congress attendance. The hotel is also listed as a preferred hotel for several Global Healthcare companies for both transient and meetings, many of which have national offices located close by.
This venue is in a destination that has a strong offering for both business and leisure visitors. As a result, people's perceptions of the venue may differ depending on how they use the location for meetings. This venue is located close to a number of local tourist attractions. These, in our opinion, have no bearing on the venue's meeting proposition, as there is a clear separation between the hotel site and of the attractions.
The Radisson Blu Hotel Paris Boulogne draws on its location and meeting facilities to attract the meetings market and those wishing to use the hotel for a short stay whilst attending sporting events at the nearby stadium.
Sporting venues such as Roland Garros and Parc de Princes are within a short walk away but are not visible from the hotel and would not be a dominating feature for meeting delegates.
The AOC Restaurant is listed in the Michelin Guide, however, this is a paid listing and the restaurant is not star rated.
