Location
The hotel is situated in the heart of central London, adjacent to Charing Cross Train Station, with direct access to the station through a dedicated entrance. Charing Cross tube station is less than a minute’s walk away, providing seamless connectivity to London’s extensive underground network. Key tourist attractions, such as Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden, are within walking distance, making it a prime location for both business and leisure travellers.
The hotel’s surroundings include a vibrant mix of commercial and cultural landmarks, and while there is no on-site parking, nearby public car parks are available.
Design
The Clermont Charing Cross is housed in a historic, Grade II listed building that embodies the grandeur of Victorian architecture. The interiors were recently refurbished in 2021, blending the building’s original features with contemporary design elements to offer a luxurious yet traditional experience.
Meeting Spaces
The hotel's 8 meeting rooms are located on the 2nd floor, offering a blend of classic decor with modern amenities. All rooms are equipped with wall-mounted plasma screens, while the largest room features a ceiling-mounted LCD projector and drop-down screen.
The largest meeting space accommodates up to 180 guests (theater style) or 100 for banquets. Smaller rooms are ideal for more intimate gatherings, ranging from 10 to 40 attendees. Three of the smaller rooms are set in a fixed boardroom style, while the others offer flexible arrangements. The Trafalgar Suite includes an interconnecting ante room for breakout sessions. Exclusive use of all meeting rooms is subject to availability.
Bedrooms
The hotel’s 239 rooms are distributed across 6 floors. Standard rooms come equipped with a work desk, safe, mini fridge (empty), Nespresso machine, tea-making facilities, and complimentary WiFi. Executive rooms and suites provide additional space and luxury amenities for guests seeking an elevated experience.
Restaurant and Public Spaces
The Clermont Restaurant on the ground floor serves as the primary dining venue, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a menu focusing on modern European cuisine. It seats 80 guests for dining and can host up to 150 guests for informal receptions when arranged for private events. The adjoining Lounge Bar is perfect for smaller gatherings or casual drinks, accommodating up to 40 guests.
Experience
The hotel has extensive experience hosting events for a variety of industries, including healthcare, corporate training, and creative industries. Event sizes range from intimate boardroom meetings for 5 attendees to larger gatherings of up to 150 guests.
Fitness
A modern fitness center is located on the 6th floor, equipped with a variety of cardio and strength-training machines to meet guests’ fitness needs.
The hotel’s location at Charing Cross means it has excellent access by train and tube.
The hotel uses its central location to attract the leisure market but does not overlook any of London's tourist attractions however, they are close by.
