Location:
The Radisson Blu Sobieski, Warsaw is located on a significant road junction with some residential housing visible from one side of the hotel and can be correctly described as being in the suburbs. The centre of the city is some 20 minutes by car, the main train station a short 1km walk. Warsaw Fryderyk Chopin Airport (WAW) is 17minutes by car south on the 634 road direct to the airport. There are 149 paid spaces available in an underground garage.
Design:
The exterior of the hotel is modern in design built in a U shape with a central garden area with glass domes looking into the centre of the hotel. Interior design is modern, simple, often colourful with a blend of primary colours laid over a brown modern style. Furniture choices are again modern, contemporary with the use of glass, angular architecture and simplistic themes. The overall impression is that of a business hotel which would also easily align to the leisure market.
Meeting space:
The hotel has 18 meeting rooms which reflect the design of the public spaces of the hotel with almost blank canvas spaces in low tone colours. Some rooms have pillars and some hard floors, most are carpeted. There are two rooms which can hold larger plenary style meetings the Galeria I,II,III and atrium which is design in a crescent shape with a part glass dome ceiling and can hold 400 in theatre style with front projection. The second largest space is the Wilanow I,II room which can accommodate, in a more traditional oblong shape, 100 in theatre style with front projection. Both rooms are located on the ground floor close to public spaces. All other meeting rooms are located on the ground and first floor.
The hotel is, in our opinion, most suited to mid-size meetings such as disease state education, product launch training programmes, commercial and medical meetings and advisory boards.
Sleeping rooms:
The hotel has a total of 452 rooms of which 295 are classified as standard with the balance of the rooms made up of premium and other classification of upgraded rooms, many which may be suitable for meetings for HCPs. Design is consistent with other areas of the hotel with muted colour schemes accented by primary colours to provide a clean, executive styling. All rooms are equipped with self-controlled air-conditioning, LCD, telephone as well as private bathroom with shower or bath hairdryer, towels, free toiletries, ironing board, iron and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities.
Restaurant:
There are two places to eat at the hotel, the Trylogia Restaurant which offers snacks and operates as a bar during the day and evening in a modern styled décor, located y the hotel lobby. The second is a configurable space, also on the ground floor, the Marysieńka restaurant which has movable walls to create flexible eating and meeting spaces. Design follows the theme of the rest of the hotel with a simple styling.
Fitness:
The hotel has a fitness room, no pool and a massage room. There is no spa.
There is little to highlight from a compliance perspective. This is a business hotel, in a modern styled building without any visual distractions from that of a venue used for meetings.
