Location:
This 4-star business hotel, designed in a contemporary style, with 50 meeting rooms is located directly at the Zurich International Airport terminal. It is easily accessible from the city of Zurich, major roadways, and the new University hospital and conference centre, located in The Circle a multi-purpose retail and business development 6 minutes from the hotel by car.
The airport is a 250m walk from the entrance to the hotel, where the international airport terminal and direct 8-12 minute trains to Zurich main station can be accessed. You can connect to the local road networks with a short, 2-3 minute drive from the hotel. There are x free parking spaces and a further 15,000 spaces within the airport footprint.
Design:
The hotel has a modern and contemporary design with a glass exterior. Its colour scheme is mostly muted and executive, but some areas feature bolder primary colours to achieve a comfortable and executive look. The furniture in public areas can be modern and minimalistic. The hotel is sometimes marketed as a "stylish Zurich airport hotel," which is largely accurate, though in our opinion it maintains a 4-star modern style. It's worth noting that the hotel's design is in sync with its proximity to an international airport.
Meeting space:
Meeting space is provided on the 1st, 7th and 8th floors of the hotel with many which directly overlook the airport and runway, others have views to the airport access road networks. The largest room on the 1st floor, the Zurich room, can be divided into 4 rooms, supported by a foyer, and accommodates 550 persons theatre style. Confidentiality can be assured with the flexibility of spaces on these different floors. Each floor is connected by a central atrium providing natural daylight to bedrooms and other internal areas such as the 7th and 8th floor meeting foyers.
Sleeping Rooms:
The 330 sleeping rooms use, in the most part, muted colours reflecting its executive positioning with the use of bright primary colours in some room types. Enhanced rooms often relate to the view (e.g. to the airport runway) and overall size rather than the furniture, amenities or design, with premium rooms having a darker, more executive feel.
There is free wi-fi throughout all rooms, as well as the now-standard flat-screen television, safe, mini bar and tea and coffee making facilities.
Bedrooms were refurbished in August 2022.
Restaurant:
The hotel has three food and beverage venues. The Wine Tower Bar with an impressive 16-meter tower, is fort decorative purposes only and does not now hold any bottles. Howerver, it is lit and becomes a visible feature of the hotel's public areas in the evening. There are two restaurants, neither of which offer fine dining menus. The Filini restaurant, with 100 seats, offers Italian menus including a buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The design is modest yet keeping with other areas of the hotel with a primary colour scheme. The 50 seat Grill, which is currently only opened for groups, has an elevated almost Asian styling and design, yet in our opinion, it does not strive for a fine dining experience.
Fitness:
The hotel has a fitness centre, including a weights room and steam bath
The language used in marketing collateral sometimes suggests that the hotel can be placed in a lavish or stylish category. Certain features such as the wine tower and the room service delivery robot, Jeeves, may give the impression that it is more than a modern, meeting-oriented hotel at an airport.
