Location:
Barcelona International Airport is 10 minutes away by taxi or a 1-minute walk brings delegates to the Europa Fira tube station with direct access to the check-in area of the airport. The Metro station, Europa Fira, line number 10 (L10), is a short walking distance away.
Design:
The hotel is 27 floors high and its modern design style is reflected in the Black and white color scheme which is evident on the building façades and some interior theming.
The architecture of the hotel is modern, with innovative design features but without touches that would suggest a more luxurious product.
Inside the hotel, a natural vertical garden spans the 27 floors with plants and palm trees which create a calm space and calming break from business meetings.
Bedrooms:
The hotel has a total of 357 rooms across 26 floors and 5 different room categories: 110 Standard, 88 Superior, 66 Premium, 87 Junior suites, and 6 Suites.
For healthcare groups involving Healthcare Professionals, Standard rooms are typically provided however, as room amenities are consistent across all categories, superior rooms are also likely to be considered acceptable as they are slightly larger in size.
Meeting Space:
The hotel has 11 modular-based and naturally lit meeting rooms on one dedicated meeting room ground floor creating a privatized and secure meeting space.
Europa is the largest room and can accommodate 600 people in theatre style or 350 in cabaret but can be divided to provide 4 breakouts that accommodate from 60 to 150 people.
Supporting the Europa suite are 7 flexible breakout rooms where meetings from 10 to 100 delegates theatre style can be organized. A central foyer separates all rooms and is used for coffee breaks, finger lunch or as exhibition space however, this cannot be made private unless all rooms are booked.
A small courtyard with a palm tree is connected to the Fira 5, providing a networking area to delegates.
Restaurant:
The Palmer Restaurant is located on the 14th floor, serving Mediterranean cuisine in a ‘Vertical Garden’ and is the location for guest breakfast lunch, and dinner.
The lobby Oasis Bar is available for light snacks and drinks and can be used for informal 1:1 meetings. The El Cel bar is located on the 27th floor but for any proposals relating to healthcare events, the use of bars would not be included.
Experience:
The hotel has experience with meetings from the healthcare sector, including investigator meetings, advisory boards, sales training, and product launches and those organized by the Spanish national health system.
Fitness:
Overnight guests have access to a fitness area on the 26th-floor room away from the meeting floors where is a modest-sized indoor pool and a seasonal outdoor pool but there are no spa facilities.
External travel sites and Google support the hotel's 4-star rating and concentrate on the hotel’s location to the Grand Fira and typically, more leisure-based features, but this should not detract from its core business meeting focus.
Located next to the Fira Barcelona Gran Via, on the east and airport side of the city of Barcelona, the main tourist areas are not within the immediate area.
Leisure facilities include an indoor and outdoor pool which is represented in main hotel images, but access is seasonal and spa treatments are not available.
