Location
The hotel is situated in the heart of Barcelona, close to Plaza España and Montjuïc, within walking distance of key city attractions and well connected via public transport and taxis. It offers 72 parking spaces managed on-site and coach access is available directly at the main entrance. While central, the hotel avoids direct views over major tourist spots, offering a professional setting suitable for healthcare meetings.
Design
Externally and internally, the hotel features a modern design with contemporary furnishings and architecture. The meeting rooms, public areas, and guest rooms are designed with modern aesthetics and practical finishes, aligning with a professional and compliant atmosphere for business gatherings.
Meeting Spaces
The hotel offers seven meeting rooms, all located on the third floor and situated on the same level as the restaurant. Each room receives natural light and includes balcony access. The largest space—configured as Meet Up 1+2+3+4—accommodates up to 180 people in theatre style. The floor features flexible layouts with advanced AV equipment. Event types include private functions, finger-food receptions, rooftop afternoon events, and business breakfasts. The rooftop area is also available for private hire. While the hotel lacks a separate conference entrance, several areas offer a sense of separation for professional use.
Bedrooms
The property features 414 rooms across six floors (floors 4 to 9), categorised as Moxy Double and Moxy Twin, consistent with Standard classifications. Business amenities include a work desk, complimentary Wi-Fi, in-room safe, and hairdryer. Mini-fridges, Nespresso machines, and bathrobes are not included. Rooms are designed to meet essential needs for business and healthcare professionals.
Restaurant and Public Spaces
The main dining venue is LEVEL3 on the third floor, serving international cuisine with approximately 140 seats. It may be partially privatised, although full privacy is not guaranteed. Rooftop events can host up to 200 guests in a fully privatised outdoor area. Additional options include the Bonvista Rooftop restaurant on the 10th floor, offering market cuisine in a distinctive 1950s-style setting with an estimated 100-seat capacity (opening pending). Professional functions can also utilise the private breakfast area for 40 guests, a gaming room for 50, or the rooftop for larger events. Meeting rooms are available for private dinners requiring full discretion.
Experience
The hotel has hosted multiple pharmaceutical meetings and events. While no formal MSA agreements exist, it is familiar with the compliance and logistical needs of healthcare events.
Fitness
Fitness facilities include a gym with free weights and machines, and an outdoor pool on the rooftop. These are operated by the hotel. The venue does not market itself as a spa or wellness destination and no spa treatments are offered. Wellness facilities are set aside from meeting spaces, ensuring separation between business and leisure zones.
The Moxy Barcelona holds a 4-star classification. It is centrally located and near major attractions, although it does not promote these features as reasons to attend events.
