General Overview

ACC Liverpool is a purpose-built conference and exhibition centre located in the city centre of Liverpool. It is designed specifically to accommodate large-scale conferences, meetings and events, with a strong focus on business and professional gatherings. The venue comprises three interconnected facilities—the Convention Centre, Exhibition Centre, and M&S Bank Arena.

Location

ACC Liverpool is situated in the heart of Liverpool's city centre, adjacent to The Royal Albert Dock and within walking distance of the city centre. The area is primarily commercial and designed for professional gatherings as is well-served by public transport, with Liverpool Lime Street Station just over a mile away (approximately 20 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by taxi). London is accessible in just over two hours by direct train. Liverpool John Lennon Airport is around 8 miles away, reachable in 25 minutes by taxi. The Kings Dock Car Park offers approximately 1,350 car parking spaces. Coach parking depends on event location within the venue.

Design

The external design of ACC Liverpool features a modern, predominantly glass architectural style. Internally, the venue is structured to support large-scale, business-oriented events with flexible, configurable spaces across its three connected venues. Key compliance-supportive features include separate entrances for each facility and interconnecting walkways that provide discrete, covered access between spaces. The design reflects a focus on professional functionality over leisure aesthetics.

Meeting Spaces

ACC Liverpool houses 21 meeting rooms over two floors, providing a total of 15,000m² of meeting space. The largest space, the M&S Bank Arena, can host up to 5,000 delegates in theatre style. Adjacent to the arena is Hall 2, a 3,725m² carpeted area on the same floor. The venue’s flexible configurations support a wide variety of healthcare and corporate event types, including Clinical Trial Meetings, Medical Congresses, Product Launches, and Medical Association Meetings. Select areas include integrated AV systems. Full exclusivity of the venue is available for clients if required.

Bedrooms

Accommodation is provided through three onsite hotels managed by Leonardo Hotels, Staybridge Suites, and Pullman Liverpool—with a combined total of approximately 658 bedrooms.

Restaurant and Public Spaces

ACC Liverpool does not operate a primary restaurant. Instead, all catering is provided through its partner Sodexo Live! and is arranged within private event spaces - all diningg is fully private and controlled within hired event rooms.

Experience

Since its inception in 2008, ACC Liverpool has hosted a wide variety of corporate healthcare and life science meetings. The healthcare sector represents the majority of its business. The venue is experienced in hosting medical congresses, clinical trial meetings, and product launches, and can accommodate up to 5,000 delegates. While there are no MSA agreements with healthcare agencies, the infrastructure and delivery model align with accepted healthcare compliance standards.

Fitness

The ACC Liverpool does not feature a gym, pool, or spa, nor does it market itself as a wellness or spa destination.

ACC Liverpool functions purely as a conference and exhibition centre and marketing avoids compliance-risk language such as “luxury,” “boutique,” or “resort,”.
