General Overview

The Sheraton Amsterdam is an airport hotel with 417 bedrooms and a conference center that can host meetings for up to 400, with meetings and events the focus of its sales and marketing.

 

Location

The Sheraton is connected to Schiphol airport via a short internal walkway immediately into the terminal. This means there is no need for transfers from the airport or train station.

The airport’s train station connects to Amsterdam Centraal station in 20 minutes, with other Dutch cities also connected.

Adjacent to the hotel are 150 parking spaces, externally managed by Schiphol Parking. For groups there is a space for one coach.

 

Design

With a renovation in 2021, Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel presents a mostly concrete, modern, and contemporary exterior. Two towers of the building face the airport and are connected with a 30-meter-high Atrium with glass walls.

Inside the styling continues with a modern, contemporary interior with Dutch cultural touches in the details. Lot of open spaces in the public areas, with a variety of areas to work and have meetings at the co-working areas.

 

Meeting Space

There are 30 extensive meeting rooms, divided between 4 floors. Mostly are located in the ground floor Conference Center which has its own entrance, reception desk and meeting concierge which means it can be completely privatised.

With the number of plenary and breakout rooms and capacities, corporate meetings and conferences for up to 400 people are regularly hosted here. Although, the hotel can accommodate a lot of different sized meetings from smaller board meetings to extensive dinner functions. Hybrid meetings are also possible in several meetings rooms.

Yes, all the meeting rooms in the Conference level can be completely privatised, but there is a possibility to privatise the meetings rooms together with the restaurants on the Atrium floor as well.

 

Bedrooms

The guestrooms are located on 8 floors, from the 1st to the 8th floors. Standard rooms include a small desk with lounge chair, kettle, tea and instant coffee, two bottles of water, Iron and iron board, 15 inch laptop safe, 1 telephone with data port, 55 inch flat screen cable TV, complimentary wi-fi.

 

Restaurant

There are 3 in-house restaurants with the 100 seater Commune is on the Reception level (where the entrance from the airport gates are located). The Gate Bar and Stripes restaurants are situated on the Atrium level, above the Reception floor.

Commune serves veg-forward dishes from Dutch cuisine, with a lot of vegan and vegetarian options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Gate Bar seats 60 and is an Asian fusion restaurant, and ideal for short meetings or lunches.

Stripes offers a more upscale dining for up to 110 with a lot of grill dishes, and American buffet breakfast during the morning hours.

The Gate and Stripes restaurant can be completely privatised, Commune can be partially privatised.

The Sheraton Club Lounge area-can also be utilised for privatised meetings for up to 68 seats with a separate foyer.

 

Experience

Meetings from the healthcare sector have been hosted here for more than 20 years, hosting all internal and external meeting types from internal board meetings to large investigator meetings.  

The hotel works closely with healthcare and life science companies, their specialist agencies, universities and other non and for profit healthcare organizations-e.g. European societies.

 

Fitness

Sheraton Fitness is located on the Reception level and and includes free weights and machines, and it’s free of charge for guests. They do not have a pool, or spa.

 

Compliance Hotspot

The hotel is classified as 4-star and is a purely business hotel and conference venue.

Following a full refurbishment, the hotel has a modern and contemporary appearance but without luxury touches and facilities to divert attention from the business elements of the hotel.
