General Overview:
The Steigenberger Frankfurt Hotel is a 4-star business hotel 4 minutes from Frankfurt airport and is marketed as a place for business travellers and leisure guests using the hotel for layovers.
Location:
The hotel sits next to the main Bundestrasse motorway surrounded by business offices and an urban forest and away from any tourist attractions the city has to offer. Frankfurt Airport is just four minutes away and can be reached with the 24-hour Express–Airport–Shuttle which runs every 20 Minutes with 2 separate buses to both Terminals and the regional train station.
For delegates driving by car, the A5 & A3 highways are 1km away, and for drivers, there are chargeable garage spaces and outside parking spaces available.
Design:
The hotel has a mainly light concrete exterior without any unique features to suggest this is not a place for business.
Bedrooms:
The Steigenberger Airport Hotel has 564 bedrooms: 266 business single rooms in urban and classic style. 104 business double rooms and 82 business twin rooms. The décor of the bedrooms varies in the business category between urban style, a modern, bright design room with fresh and natural colours and classic style, and Classic-elegant rooms in warm tones and dark wood.
Meeting Space:
The 40 conference rooms at the Steigenberger Airport Hotel are partially combinable with each other and offer individual seating options. 16 of these rooms can be found in the conference area on the ground floor, 2 in the basement and all further meeting rooms on different floors.
The largest room, Salon 5 -10 covers 896 sqm and accommodates 950 in theatre style, and has a partial ceiling height of 5 meters. The conference rooms in the Executive Tower are more secluded and would align with advisory board meetings. All rooms have natural daylight, and air conditioning and are soundproof, and a dedicated Business Center and meeting reception.
Experience:
The hotel's location supports a strong position as a venue offering a wide range of different types of meetings and events options with 40 meeting rooms. The main functional and practical facilities for this purpose are mostly conveniently located on the ground floor with direct access to even bigger objects such as cars.
The hotel’s reception is located on the ground floor and offers space for group check-in and registration and the large lobby includes the Lobby Bistro Bar which is open 24/7.
Restaurant:
The Five Continents and the Faces Restaurant are directly connected during breakfast and lunch for groups of over 270 persons.
Google list the hotel as 5-star however, this is not accurate as it is a 4-star hotel.
The hotel's Unterschweinstiege Restaurant is a 230-year-old historic restaurant but is not inside the hotel, and access is gained via a roofed terrace. Whilst historic, the restaurant offers regional and national cuisine in a rustic and cozy setting but would not be considered a fine dining option.
The hotel's website homepage provides limited references to a hotel Spa, but images present a modest product and not one that could be considered luxurious or deluxe and being on the 9th floor is not visible from the public or meeting areas.
