GENERAL OVERVIEW

The Strasbourg Convention & Exhibition Centre is a fully renovated multi-purpose and multi-function venue located in the heart of Strasbourg’s business district which includes the European Parliament and other major European institutions.

Strasbourg Convention & Exhibition Centre has a position as a venue for MICE events as well as trade fairs and, its position close to the centre of the city encourage.

It offers a full range of rooms for meetings of different sizes as well as plenaries and breakout combinations providing with spaces for meetings, exhibits and breakout rooms in private areas.

DESIGN

The Strasbourg Convention and Exhibition Centre combines a purpose-built contemporary styled Convention centre and an Exhibition Park. All meeting facilities are contemporary business in style and consist of 3 auditoriums for audiences from 500 to 1900, 22 meeting rooms that accommodate from 35 to 450 people in theatre style and 10 000 sqm of exhibition space. With this range of flexible space, the venue is capable of holding all healthcare meetings from small scale advisory boards to product launches and association meetings / congresses suitable for the larger auditoriums and exhibition style spaces.

The geography of the venue allows for multiple groups to meet in separated and self-contained areas providing secure space as required by healthcare clients.

Location

Strasbourg airport is 20 minutes away by car and the main central train station is a 15-minute tramway ride away with tram stops located immediately outside the venue. Central station provides direct connections to Strasbourg Airport in 9 minutes.

LOCATION AND SETTING

Located in a business district & opposite the European Parliament the venue is free from any historic attractions and distractions of the city centre.

The venue is easily accessible by public transport including the tramway network and the tram stops of Wacken and Lycee Kleber and Rives de l’Aar are within 3-minute walking distance. By tram the venue is only a 15-minute ride from the main train station which provides regular direct services to the Airport every 20 minutes – the journey takes 9 minutes.

The city of Strasbourg is well known as a centre for innovation in medical technology as Alsace Biovalley, the offices of Medtech Strasbourg and the NextMed, medical technology campus in Strasbourg.

Strasbourg is also home of IRCAD, the internationally recognized research, institute & training centre for minimally invasive surgery and also home to many corporate offices from the healthcare sector.

MEETING SPACE

The Strasbourg Convention and Exhibition Centre combines a purpose-built Convention centre and an Exhibition Park. All meeting facilities are contemporary business in style and consist of 3 auditoriums for audiences from 500 to 1900, 22 meeting rooms that accommodate from 35 to 450 people in theatre style and 10 000 sqm of exhibition space across two floors.

Each of the 3 Auditoria come with seating over two levels and unobstructed views of the stage with each seat equipped with writing tablets. Auditoriums come with in-built translation booths and private dressing rooms.

Meeting spaces can be offered as private dining areas however, for large conferences, Hall Rhin is ideal for proving catering space for up to 1,500 in banquet style.

Two separate entries and a layout on 2 floors, allow for meetings from competing companies to take place simultaneously while ensuring the privacy required for healthcare meetings.

To support meeting bookers, the Venue Healthcare Champion can support bookers by advising on a range of technical equipment and integrated services: Event Engineering, Audio-visual, Catering, Accommodation and registration management, Stand design and creation.

ACCOMMODATION

The venue does not have its own accommodation however, there are 4-star hotels options within walking distance and within easy access.

FITNESS

There are no leisure facilities at the venue and as it is located outside of the city centre, there are tourist-based distractions for delegates. Bookers of internal or external Healthcare meetings can be confident that this is a place for business.

The venue’s website is purely business focussed and centres on its location and supports its ability to host multi-purpose events from business meetings exhibitions and trade fairs for all industries to concerts utilising the auditorium.

The business focus is supported by external websites that similarly so not position the venue as one that, in our opinion, would be considered luxurious or deluxe.
