General Overview

The Crowne Plaza Dublin Airport is a purpose-built 4-star business hotel located in Northwood Park, and within a mainly commercial area outside and away from the distractions of Dublin City centre and any flightpath.

 

Location:

Dublin International Airport is 2 kilometres and a 5-10-minute complimentary shuttle bus transfer away and for delegates driving to the venue, there are 366 spaces available at the nearby multi-storey car park, with access from the adjacent M1 and M50 ring road, which surrounds the city.

 

Bedrooms:

The hotel has a total of 209 bedrooms and comprise of standard, executive room and Royal Suites. Standard rooms are typically considered appropriate by bookers for allocation to healthcare professionals, but executive room feature the same amenities and therefore could, in our opinion, be considered appropriate if access to the Club Lounge is removed. For larger meetings an additional 214 rooms are available at the adjacent 3-star Holiday Inn.

 

Meeting Space:

The hotel has a total of 25 meeting rooms divided in to two separate areas. In the East Wing, the Ground floor comprises of 11 rooms plus the Redwood suite. This is the largest space and can accommodate 850 in theatre style or broken down in to three even size rooms of 250 each, ideal for product launches, sales conferences and investigator meetings as there is a large conference foyer immediately outside and its own entrance. There are an additional 10 smaller rooms in the west wing that can accommodate meetings from 12 to 70 for workshops or smaller advisory boards.

On the first floor, east wing, there are 11 rooms positioned in two separate areas. Rooms 14 - 16 and 17 – 24 both come with their own break-out area and can both be privatised, ideal for smaller meeting types such as advisory boards and speaker training.

With two defined meeting spaces it allows for the potential for more than one healthcare companies’ meetings to be hosted at the same time.

The Fahrenheit Suite could be used as a meeting room for 150 or as a function area for private group lunches and dinners for x120.

 

Experience:

The hotel is a preferred partner of healthcare companies for transient and meetings business so has experience in hosting internal and external healthcare meetings including those sponsored by corporate companies or organised by local hospitals and the UK National Health Service.

 

Fitness:

There is a fitness and wellness gym, but the hotel has no pool and does not offer spa treatments, preferring to promote healthy meetings via walking or jogging in the 85-acre Northwood park located opposite the hotel.

Compliance Hotspot

This venue is located in a city renowned for its historic and leisure attractions however, the hotel site is located some distance from these areas and has minimal impact on the venueís business proposition. To attract the weekend leisure market this venue may promote their facilities and nearby activities. These supplement its business services, which can stand alone and are only modestly impacted by facilities and activities aimed toward weekend guests.
