Van der Valk Hotel Utrecht is a modern four-star business hotel located just minutes from Utrecht’s city centre. Designed to accommodate corporate and event-focused guests, the hotel offers 185 well-appointed rooms and 23 adaptable meeting spaces. With excellent connectivity to highways and public transport, it provides a practical setting for business meetings, conferences, and corporate stays.
Van der Valk Hotel Utrecht is located in a commercial area directly adjacent to a major highway, approximately 10 minutes by car or public transport from Utrecht’s city centre. While not situated within a tourist area, it offers panoramic views of key landmarks such as the Dom Church from its upper floors. The Dom Church itself is accessible within 20 minutes. The hotel is well-served by public transport and has excellent road connectivity. It provides 500 hotel-managed parking spaces and designated areas at the front of the hotel for coach drop-offs and pickups, including space for two coaches.
Externally, the hotel showcases a sustainable modern design typical of newer Valk Exclusief properties, constructed predominantly with contemporary materials. Internally, it features a modern aesthetic with sleek, welcoming interiors in the public areas, guest rooms, and meeting spaces. The layout supports discretion and privacy, with no external meeting building and direct yet controlled access to conference areas.
The venue hosts 23 meeting rooms across three levels. The first floor contains 13 large rooms including Nieuwegracht 1-2, the largest room, which accommodates 550 delegates in theatre style. Additional first-floor rooms include Oudegracht 1-5 and Domtoren 1-6. The second floor has 8 smaller rooms, including 6 boardrooms with fixed conference tables. On the 20th floor, the Sky Lounge provides a private space for high-impact meetings. All rooms include modern AV equipment, and the first and second floors offer suitable configurations for breakout sessions and exclusive use.
The hotel offers 185 bedrooms across floors 3 to 19. Room categories include Comfort (standard), luxurious (executive), and seven themed suites. Standard business traveller amenities are available in all rooms, including work desks, complimentary Wi-Fi, laptop safes, and tea/coffee making facilities. Additional in-room features such as mini-fridges and bathrobes can be included upon request.
Restaurant 'V', on the ground floor, provides all-day dining with an internationally themed à-la-carte menu and seats 350 guests. It is fully privatisable, making it suitable for corporate dinners and confidential events. Additional facilities include a hotel bar with an 80-person capacity and the Sky Lounge on the 20th floor, both available for private events and offering a suitable environment for informal professional gatherings.
Van der Valk Hotel Utrecht has significant experience hosting healthcare meetings and corporate events. Event types include conferences with exhibition components, board meetings, evening sessions, and training workshops. Although no formal MSA agreements exist, the venue has hosted events for organisations in the healthcare and life sciences sector and has links to local universities and hospital clusters.
The 20th floor of the hotel features a fitness centre with both cardiovascular and resistance training equipment. Adjacent facilities include an infinity pool and a wellness area with a sauna, steam cabin, and infrared sauna. These are complimentary for hotel guests and not marketed to the public or as part of a spa retreat.
