Van der Valk Hotel Vianen is a modern four-star business hotel centrally located in the Netherlands. Location
The hotel is situated between rural and residential areas, approximately 15–20 minutes by car or public transport from Utrecht city centre. Amsterdam city centre and Zaanse Schans are reachable in about 35 minutes by car.

The venue has excellent access to the national highway network. It is not located within walking distance of a major airport or train station, but it is reachable by public transport and car. The hotel offers 850 complimentary on-site parking spaces and accommodates coach parking for two vehicles at the main entrance.

 

Design
Externally, the hotel features a low-rise layout with a wide spread and modern façade. A large terrace fronts the entrance, and all guest rooms include balconies. Internally, the venue is styled with modern contemporary décor, incorporating warm and inviting details. This style is consistent across public areas, bedrooms, and meeting rooms. The design supports compliance suitability through features like private meeting areas and discreet layouts.

 

Meeting Spaces
The hotel comprises 26 meeting rooms across three floors. On the ground floor are two large conference rooms, New York and Montreal, with combined capacity for up to 550 people and 1,250 m² of exhibition space. This floor also includes five breakout rooms, each 80 m². The second floor hosts multiple mid-sized meeting rooms for up to 300 attendees. The third floor contains six flexible rooms and four boardrooms, suitable for smaller meetings. The largest theatre-style room is the New York room (550 guests), and its floor also houses all other breakout rooms, enabling centralised large-scale events. The venue is equipped with standard AV technology and business lounges across all meeting areas.

Bedrooms
The venue spans four floors with a total of 200 rooms, categorised as 154 Standard (Comfort) rooms, 32 Executive (Luxurious) rooms, and 13 Suites. All rooms are fitted with business-friendly amenities including a work desk, laptop safe, complimentary Wi-Fi, and tea/coffee facilities. Minibars and other optional items such as bathrobes and Nespresso machines can be removed upon request.

 

Restaurant and Public Spaces
The main restaurant, located on the first floor, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with an international à-la-carte menu and a seating capacity of 500. It is fully privatisable for compliant dining events. An additional dining option, "Live Cooking", supports diverse event formats including gala dinners and BBQs, and can also be fully privatised. A hotel bar (Pianobar) accommodates up to 100 guests and is suitable for informal gatherings and aperitifs. A private dining lounge is available for groups of up to 24 people.

 

Experience
Van der Valk Hotel Vianen has extensive experience in hosting healthcare and corporate meetings, including conferences, trainings, and exhibitions. The venue regularly supports life sciences and healthcare clients and has hosted evening educational sessions. Though not bound by master service agreements, the venue maintains active relationships with local science parks and university clusters, enhancing its suitability for healthcare meetings.

 

Fitness
Fitness facilities include a fully equipped gym with both machines and free weights, and are located in a separate building from the meeting spaces. An infinity pool and wellness area (infrared sauna, Finnish sauna, steam cabin) are also available to hotel guests. The venue does not offer spa treatments and does not position itself as a spa or wellness destination. Bicycle rentals are available for guests.

 

Compliance Hotspot

The venue is officially rated as a four-star hotel. It avoids marketing itself as luxurious or boutique and does not claim any awards or unique status. While wellness facilities exist, the venue does not promote them to non-residents or as a primary attraction.
