Radisson Blu Hotel and Convention Centre, Riyadh Minhal is positioned as a business-focused hotel with a substantial convention and meetings offering. Meetings and events form a significant part of the venue’s overall business, supported by a purpose-built convention centre and flexible meeting infrastructure designed to accommodate large-scale conferences, exhibitions and corporate meetings.
Radisson Blu Hotel and Convention Centre, Riyadh Minhal is situated in the administrative district of Riyadh, an area predominantly occupied by government bodies and corporate offices. The hotel overlooks surrounding commercial and residential buildings and is not positioned within a tourist or entertainment zone.
The hotel is located a short walking distance from GOSI 5B1 Metro Station, providing access to Riyadh’s developing public transport network. King Khalid International Airport is approximately 35 km from the hotel, with an estimated travel time of 35–45 minutes by taxi, subject to traffic conditions. The property is positioned near King Abdulaziz Road, providing direct road connectivity to key business districts across the city. On-site parking is available with over 420 parking spaces across three basement levels, managed directly by the hotel. Dedicated drop-off zones are located at the main entrance, and coaches may use public parking areas surrounding the hotel.
Externally, the hotel features a contemporary design with a modern façade incorporating LED lighting elements. The overall structure reflects a functional, business-oriented architectural style rather than decorative or leisure-led theming.
Internally, the hotel adopts a modern contemporary design throughout public areas, meeting spaces and bedrooms. The lobby is spacious and incorporates two large atriums, supporting efficient guest circulation. Meeting rooms are designed with a focus on functionality and technology, with layouts that support privacy and controlled access. Dedicated entrances and lifts for the convention centre allow discrete movement of delegates, which supports compliance requirements for regulated meetings.
The venue offers a total of 12 meeting rooms, expandable to up to 23 modular and flexible meeting spaces. Meeting facilities are distributed across four floors. The Princess Sayta Ballroom is located on the ground floor and is the largest meeting space, accommodating up to 1,100 delegates in theatre style. The Al Jawhara Ballroom is located on the second floor, while the majority of meeting rooms are situated on the fourth floor within the dedicated convention centre. Additional meeting facilities, including a boardroom, are located on the sixth floor within the Business Class Lounge.
The Princess Sayta Ballroom on the ground floor measures approximately 893 sqm. Other key meeting spaces on separate floors include the Al Jawhara Ballroom (672 sqm) on the second floor, the Al Hada Meeting Room (217 sqm) on the fourth floor, and the Al Bateel Meeting Room (77 sqm) on the sixth floor. The meeting rooms are equipped with modern audiovisual technology and can support configurations such as conferences, exhibitions, banquets, workshops and boardroom-style meetings. Breakout rooms are available, and the two ballrooms can be fully privatised for exclusive use.
The hotel offers a total of 310 bedrooms across two wings: an existing wing with six floors and an additional wing with seven floors. Accommodation is categorised into Superior Rooms (standard), Executive Rooms with Business Class Lounge access, and Suites.
All rooms are designed with business travellers in mind and include complimentary Wi-Fi, work desks, laptop-sized safes, ironing facilities, tea and coffee-making facilities, individual climate control and flat-screen televisions. Additional amenities include minibars, bathrobes, slippers and in-room safes capable of holding a 17-inch laptop. Items such as bathrobes and mini-fridges can be removed upon request to meet specific compliance requirements.
The primary all-day dining venue is Silk Road Restaurant, located on the ground floor at lobby level. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers an international menu with Asian, Middle Eastern and Western cuisine influences. The total seating capacity is approximately 265 guests. Sections of the restaurant can be fully or partially privatised for dinner meetings, with individual sections accommodating between 40 and 140 guests. For meetings involving presentations or where full privacy is required, the use of meeting rooms is recommended.
Additional public spaces include La Veranda Café, located on the lobby level, offering an à la carte menu and seating for approximately 93 guests. A section of the swimming pool area may be used for evening cocktail receptions for up to 100 guests, subject to event suitability. Other specialty restaurants are under construction. Public areas may be considered for professional gatherings where privacy and compliance requirements can be met.
Experience
The venue has experience in hosting healthcare-related and corporate meetings, including pharmaceutical exhibitions, cycle meetings, symposiums and conferences affiliated with the Ministry of Health. The convention centre infrastructure supports large delegate numbers and regulated meeting formats, including exhibitions and formal conferences. The hotel also maintains contractual agreements with healthcare institutions, demonstrating familiarity with healthcare compliance requirements.
Fitness facilities are provided through the hotel’s Health Club, located on the 11th floor and physically separated from all meeting spaces. The Health Club includes a fully equipped gym with both free weights and exercise machines, as well as a temperature-controlled outdoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. The venue does not market itself as a spa or wellness destination, and spa treatments are not available. All facilities are owned and managed by the hotel.
Radisson Blu Hotel and Convention Centre, Riyadh Minhal holds a 4-star classification from the Saudi Ministry of Tourism. The property does not currently promote itself as a luxury, resort or entertainment-focused venue.
Live instrumental background music is provided in the lobby on selected days and alongside the main restaurant twice weekly, but there is no DJ-led or entertainment-driven offering.
The hotel does not promote award-winning facilities and does not position itself around tourist attractions, supporting its suitability for healthcare-compliant meetings.
