ExpoMeloneras is a purpose-built conference and convention centre located in Meloneras, Gran Canaria. The venue operates alongside the Lopesan Hotel Group and is designed specifically to host conferences, conventions, exhibitions, product launches, corporate meetings and large international events. Meetings and events form the principal function of the venue, supported by 29 flexible meeting rooms, dedicated conference facilities, extensive exhibition space and direct access to substantial nearby hotel accommodation. The convention centre benefits from a separate entrance, flexible room configurations using movable partition walls and the ability to create exclusive event environments for conferences of varying sizes.
ExpoMeloneras is located within the Meloneras resort area on the south coast of Gran Canaria. The surrounding environment comprises high-quality hotels, conference facilities, commercial areas and landscaped public spaces, with the convention centre positioned close to the coastline and leisure amenities. Although situated within a recognised tourist destination, the conference centre operates as a dedicated meetings venue separated from the surrounding hotel operations.
Delegates typically arrive via Gran Canaria Airport before travelling by road to Meloneras. The convention centre is within walking distance of the three supporting Lopesan hotels, allowing delegates to move between accommodation and conference facilities without the need for transport. Parking is available at the three hotels together with additional public parking adjacent to ExpoMeloneras. Coaches can drop off and collect delegates directly outside the main entrance to the convention centre, with additional coach access available at each of the supporting hotels.
ExpoMeloneras features a modern contemporary architectural design constructed specifically as a conference and exhibition venue. The building incorporates contemporary materials and flexible interior spaces designed to accommodate conferences, exhibitions and large corporate events.
Internally, the convention centre provides adaptable meeting rooms, exhibition halls and circulation areas capable of supporting large delegate numbers. The modular design allows organisers to combine or divide meeting spaces using movable partition walls, enabling flexible layouts for plenary sessions, breakout meetings, exhibitions and networking functions. The venue's separate entrance provides a dedicated arrival experience independent of the surrounding hotels, supporting privacy and efficient delegate management.
ExpoMeloneras offers 29 meeting rooms distributed across multiple levels within the convention centre. The meeting rooms can be combined through movable partition walls to create larger event spaces, providing considerable flexibility for conferences, conventions, product launches, exhibitions and corporate meetings. The venue operates independently from the conference facilities located within the surrounding Lopesan hotels, which together provide a further 22 meeting rooms if additional breakout capacity is required.
The convention centre benefits from a dedicated entrance and all event areas can be fully privatised for exclusive use. The venue is particularly well suited to conferences, conventions, incentive events, exhibitions and pharmaceutical meetings due to its adaptable room layouts, extensive accommodation support and integrated event infrastructure. Meeting facilities are arranged across several levels, allowing organisers to separate plenary sessions, breakout meetings, catering and exhibition areas where required. ExpoMeloneras does not provide guest accommodation within the convention centre itself. Residential conferences are supported by the three adjacent Lopesan hotels located within a maximum walking distance of approximately 5–10 minutes.
Combined accommodation totals 2,376 guest rooms comprising standard rooms, deluxe rooms, unique rooms, junior suites and suites. Standard business amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, work desks or table areas, laptop-sized safes, air conditioning, televisions, telephones and minibars. ExpoMeloneras provides conference catering supported by the extensive food and beverage facilities within the adjacent Lopesan hotels. Primary restaurants include Gastro Market Restaurant at Lopesan Costa Meloneras, Baobab Restaurant at Lopesan Baobab Resort and La Plaza Restaurant at Lopesan Villa del Conde. These restaurants collectively offer international buffet dining with Mediterranean, Spanish, Canarian and international cuisine.
Subject to availability, restaurants can be fully privatised for exclusive dinners, healthcare events and corporate functions. Where restaurant exclusivity is not possible, private dining can be arranged within dedicated meeting rooms to ensure complete confidentiality. Additional hospitality options include à la carte restaurants, terraces, bars, poolside venues and outdoor event areas capable of supporting receptions, networking functions and gala dinners associated with conferences.
ExpoMeloneras is designed specifically to accommodate conferences, conventions, incentive events, exhibitions and corporate meetings. Its combination of flexible conference facilities, substantial nearby accommodation and dedicated event infrastructure makes it suitable for national and international congresses, including healthcare and pharmaceutical meetings requiring exclusive use and adaptable meeting environments.
ExpoMeloneras does not operate fitness or wellness facilities within the convention centre itself.

ExpoMeloneras is a purpose-built convention centre supported by three officially rated five-star hotels. The conference venue itself is unclassified, while the supporting accommodation operates within the luxury resort market.
The location on the island of Gran Canaria may require additional approvals due to its leisure based positioning in the meetings and events market. However, for internal meetings this may be acceptable.
From a healthcare compliance perspective, ExpoMeloneras itself presents a moderate compliance profile. The convention centre is a dedicated meetings venue with a separate entrance, flexible conference facilities and the ability to create fully exclusive event environments. However, the supporting accommodation is positioned as luxury five-star resort hotels and actively markets wellness facilities, entertainment and destination experiences.
