Location

Hilton Rome Airport is strategically located within the Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (Fiumicino) complex, overlooking the airport terminals rather than tourist attractions or residential areas. The surrounding environment is entirely airport and transport related, making the hotel particularly suitable for international meetings requiring convenient air access and efficient delegate logistics.

 

The hotel is directly connected to Terminals 1, 2 and 3, together with the airport railway station, via a covered pedestrian tunnel with moving walkways, allowing delegates to reach the terminals in less than ten minutes on foot. Rome city centre can be reached in approximately 40–45 minutes by car, while Roma Termini railway station is accessible in approximately 30 minutes by train. The hotel does not operate an airport shuttle due to its direct pedestrian connection with the terminals. The property provides 400 on-site parking spaces, including coach parking, all managed directly by the hotel. Dedicated coach parking bays and drop-off areas are located immediately outside both the hotel entrance and the congress centre entrance.

 

Design

The exterior of Hilton Rome Airport is contemporary in design, incorporating brick and glass construction that reflects its function as a modern airport hotel and conference venue.

Internally, the hotel maintains a modern contemporary style throughout its public areas, meeting facilities and guest accommodation. Public spaces feature a collection of contemporary artwork, including sculptures, fountains and paintings by modern artists such as Arnaldo Pomodoro, creating a refined yet professional environment. The congress centre occupies a dedicated section of the ground floor and benefits from a private entrance, extensive naturally lit foyers, and an efficient layout designed to support large-scale conferences while maintaining separation from the main hotel operation.

 

Meeting Spaces

Hilton Rome Airport offers 2,500 m² of conference facilities comprising 11 modular meeting rooms, all located on a single dedicated conference floor. The congress centre includes a private entrance, extensive naturally lit foyers, exhibition areas, and flexible meeting rooms designed to support international congresses, pharmaceutical conferences, product launches, advisory boards, corporate meetings and residential events.

The largest meeting room is the Gran Salone dei Cesari, accommodating up to 800 delegates in theatre-style configuration. The room benefits from natural daylight and is equipped with a large LED wall for presentations. The second-largest room, Salone degli Imperatori, accommodates up to 600 delegates and can be divided into two separate meeting rooms. Located on the same conference floor are Salone degli Imperatori, Teodosio, Giulio Cesare, Aureliano, Costantino and Giardino dei Consoli, together creating a highly flexible conference environment capable of supporting plenary sessions, multiple breakout rooms, exhibitions and networking activities. All meeting spaces and associated public areas within the congress centre can be fully privatised for exclusive use.

 

Bedrooms

The hotel offers 519 recently renovated guest rooms distributed across seven accommodation floors. Room categories include Hilton Guest Rooms as the standard offering, Deluxe Rooms, Hilton Executive Rooms, Executive Family Rooms, Executive Room Plus, Junior Suites, Alcove Suites and Executive Suites.

 

All guest rooms provide amenities suitable for business travellers, including work desks, laptop safes, tea and coffee-making facilities, irons and ironing boards. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Mini-fridges and additional in-room amenities can be adjusted upon request where required for healthcare compliance purposes. The hotel's substantial bedroom inventory makes it particularly well suited to large residential conferences where delegates can be accommodated within a single property.

 

Restaurant and Public Spaces

The hotel's primary dining venue is Le Colonne Restaurant, located on the ground floor. Serving modern Italian cuisine with a focus on local ingredients, the restaurant accommodates approximately 200 guests, with an additional private dining area, the Chef's Corner, seating up to 30 guests. While the main restaurant cannot be fully privatised, the Chef's Corner provides an enclosed private dining environment suitable for smaller healthcare dinners and presentations. For larger private dining requirements, Giardino dei Consoli provides a dedicated banqueting space accommodating up to 370 guests and is better suited for exclusive conference dinners and healthcare functions.

 

Additional hospitality facilities include the Artists' Bar, located on the ground floor with seating for approximately 40 guests, serving light meals, sandwiches and desserts. The congress centre also incorporates a spacious naturally lit foyer connected directly to outdoor areas, which is regularly utilised for delegate registration, exhibitions, networking, sponsor displays and refreshment breaks throughout conferences.

Hilton Rome Airport has extensive experience hosting healthcare and life sciences meetings, particularly investigator meetings, advisory boards, pharmaceutical conferences, product launches and sales meetings. The hotel's combination of substantial meeting capacity, large accommodation inventory and direct airport connectivity makes it particularly well suited to international healthcare meetings involving delegates travelling from multiple countries.

 

The hotel confirms that Hilton Worldwide maintains several global Master Service Agreements with major healthcare agencies, supporting the delivery of pharmaceutical and healthcare events. Although the property does not specifically work with local healthcare clusters or universities, it has an established reputation within the international healthcare meetings market.

 

Fitness

The hotel provides a fitness centre equipped with both exercise machines and free weights. Additional leisure facilities include an indoor swimming pool, sauna and three padel courts. These facilities are managed by an external operator and are located on the ground floor in close proximity to the meeting facilities.

 

The property does not market itself as a spa or wellness destination, and spa treatments are not promoted as a core part of the hotel's offering. No additional retail outlets, gaming facilities or other leisure businesses operate within the hotel.

The property is positioned primarily as an airport conference hotel, with a strong emphasis on international meetings, congresses and business travel. Its direct connection to Leonardo da Vinci International Airport is a significant operational advantage for healthcare meetings involving international delegates.

 

The property does not advertise any facilities as award-winning. However, it does promote nearby experiences including the ITA Airways full-flight simulator, the archaeological site of Oasi di Porto, and the nearby coastline and beaches as optional delegate activities. These attractions are external to the hotel.

 

From a healthcare compliance perspective, the venue presents a generally low compliance risk profile. The hotel's principal focus remains conferences, congresses and international business travel. While leisure activities and entertainment can be arranged on request, they are secondary to the venue's core conference offering.
