Location

Served by strong national and international travel links, the venue can be reached in just 35 minutes by train from London Waterloo train station or by car from the M3 motorway, with ample on-site parking. For those travelling by plane, Heathrow is 30 minutes and Gatwick is 50 minutes by car. Farnborough Airport, adjacent to the venue, is one of Europe’s leading business airports. With a modern, industrial look and feel, Farnborough International reflects innovation and sophistication throughout all event spaces.

With over 150 life science businesses located within a short distance of Farnborough International, Hampshire is already home to major players in the life science sector. Major global companies including Eli Lilly, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Pall Biotech, Genus, Acumed and TMC Pharma all have facilities in the area.

Farnborough is in the heart of the ‘sci: tech corridor’, Farnborough International is a short distance from four world-class universities and some of the UK’s pioneering medical institutions, including the Centre for Cancer Immunology (the UK’s first centre dedicated to cancer immunology research), the Centre for Healthcare Modelling and Informatics, Southampton Science Park and the National Biofilms Innovation Centre.

Meeting Space

Farnborough International offers 10 event spaces, suited for every event type from a five-person board meeting to a 10,000-delegate conference. There are two main exhibition halls on-site, four large conference rooms, a flight deck, and board rooms. Meeting spaces within the venue are soundproofed and equipped with state-of-the-art technology to create a high-level experience, all with natural daylight. Located an airport land, security is high and delegate access to the site will be provided by one of the venue’s entry gates. Farnborough International manages all on-site activity and visits, and the security team can offer different levels of security dependent on client needs. Preferred catering and AV suppliers are available to bring the event to life, however, bookers can request to use their own chosen AV suppliers where required.

Bedrooms

As a dedicated exhibition and conference venue, Farnborough International works with several leading hotels and accommodation providers, offering 2,500 bedrooms within a 10-mile radius of the venue.

This is a multipurpose venue that hosts conferences, exhibitions, concerts, and other pay-to-enter leisure entertainment events. This will be reflected in sales and marketing messaging and in our opinion should not distract bookers looking to use the venue for healthcare meetings and events.

The venue is home to the ‘world-class’ Farnborough International Airshow, a bi-annual event for buyers from the aviation industry - a reference to this event is reflected in some marketing messaging however, for the remainder of the time, it is a dedicated exhibition, and conference centre.
