General Overview

Finlandia Hall is Helsinki’s multi-purpose venue for congresses, B2B events, concerts and trade shows. It’s currently under renovation however, enquiries are being taken for future events already and Finlandia Hall’s premises will be open to events and public in the beginning of 2025.

During this time Finlandia Hall is being completely renovated.

Little Finlandia is the venue’s ‘extra wing’ and also plays host to congresses, concerts, B2B events and will close October 2025.

As blank and versatile spaces, business meetings and events are the venue’s core focus.

Location

Finlandia Hall benefits from being centrally located by the Töölö Bay and a short walk to the city’s central station with direct connections within 30 minutes to the International Airport.

For delegates driving the venue offers 650 parking spaces along with coach bays for group travel.

Design

Finlandia Hall was opened in 1971 and it was designed by the worldwide known Finnish architect Alvar Aalto, and is design led with a white Carrara marble and black granite exterior with a nod to the Venetian waterside.

This ‘futuristic’ interior includes asymmetrical forms and natural materials. White marble is also used on the inside in bigger staircases, the concert hall and the foyers, which were also inspired by the architecture of ancient Italy and Greece.

Meeting Space

Meeting spaces are provided across 3 levels.

• On Level 0, the 2,200m2 multifunctional space on the Veranda can be used for meetings up to 1000, dinners, trade fairs and connects 4 halls & a foyer, with a private entrance via the Bistro.

• Level 1 provides several entrances that can be dedicated to separate events. Cloakroom facilities, Finlandia Experience Exhibition, Finlandia Café & Wine, Design Shop and Pop-up showroom, 2 small apartments for rental and several small meeting rooms.

• On Level 2 of the Main Building there is Finlandia Hall Auditorium, Helsinki Hall Auditorium, Restaurant Halls, Piazza Foyer, several small meeting rooms.

• On Level 2 of the Congress Wing there are several meeting rooms & foyer with a lot of natural daylight.

• On Level 3 of the Main Building is the Balcony foyerg and Halls A+B in Congress Wing

Little Finlandia is the separate venue adjacent to Finlandia Hall with 2000m2 multifunctional flat floor space that can be divided into 4 meeting rooms and foyer. On this level is the Café & Wine with a large terrace for catering functions.

Bedrooms

This venue does not have bedrooms but works with local hotels on multi-day events

Restaurant

Finlandia Restaurant (owned by Finlandia Hall) caters all events in Finlandia Hall for up to 4500 guests but there are permanent outlets available.

Finlandia Bistro provides a la carte service and seats 60 and Finlandia Café also seats 60 with an outdoor balcony terrace facing the bay of the sea.

Little Finlandia Café & Wine seats 80 with a large terrace area for 200 pax facing the Töölönlahti park and bay of the sea.
All areas can be privatized on request

Experience

Finlandia Hall has played host to several international conferences and exhibitions from the healthcare and life-science community.

This is a multipurpose venue which hosts conferences, exhibitions, concerts and other pay to enter leisure entertainment events. This will be reflected in sales and marketing messaging and in our opinion should not distract bookers looking to use the venue for healthcare meetings and events.
