The Hilton Birmingham Metropole is one of England’s largest conference venues with over 790 guest rooms and 30 meeting rooms and event spaces.

Location

Located in heart of England, the M42 motorway is a short distance away and it connects to the M5 that links to Manchester and the North and Bristol to the South.

Birmingham city centre is 10 minutes away from the Birmingham International station which also connects to other major UK cities. The NEC (National Exhibition Centre) is a short walk away.

Birmingham Airport is a short drive away and the hotel provides a shuttle service.

Delegates driving can access over 650 parking spaces and coaches can pick up and drop off on request.

Design

The hotel's low-level exterior presents a modern architectural design, with much of it adorned with glass panels.

These glass panels allow for much of the spacious public spaces to be naturally lit. The styling can be described as business functional without any luxury touches.

Meeting Space

The hotel's large conference facilities are located in a separate building, on one floor with a small mezzanine 

The Monarch Suite is the largest and has its own entrance, providing access to 7 smaller breakout rooms, particularly relevant for meetings requiring additional privacy and security.

Bedrooms

The hotel has 789 bedrooms across 5 dedicated floors and a furnished with references to Birmingham’s identity. They include a work desk, laptop safe / tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary wi-fi. Yes

Restaurant

Serving an International menu, Brightsmith is the hotel’s main restaurant and seats 220 and can be privatised on request although for dinner meetings, a meeting room is recommended when HCP are in attendance.

The healthcare and lifescience sector is one of the hotels largest market sectors, managing both internal staff and exterior HCP meetings And they work closely with the local healthcare meeting marketplace.

Fitness

The hotel offers guests the brands LivingWell Healthcare Club with a fitness gym with free weights and exercise machines.

There is an indoor pool and spa treatments are available- both are chargeable. These facilities are set away from the public and meeting spaces.

Whilst in a practical location connected to the NEC Conference Centre and just 1km from the airport  the venue does advertise and fully cater to both business and leisure travellers. 

As a large property it does have a Health Club which offers a 24 hour fitness centre, sauna, steam room, pool and spa treatments via a separate Spa operator - Pure Spa and Beauty.  Spa packages are advertised on the Hilton's main website.

The venue is in very close proximity to Resort World with a Casino, Cinema, Bowling and Gaming centre plus the Bear Grylls Adventure, both of which can be walked to in around 5 minutes.

The hotel is advertised on online booking sites as 4* luxury but as a Hilton, is officially unrated.
