General Overview

Hilton Vienna Waterfront is a business hotel with a significant amount of meeting space, which is the key component and main purpose of the hotel.

Location

The hotel is located just outside of the city centre and overlooks the River Danube within a suburban and residential area with little distraction offered by Vienna’s historical tourist attractions. The Metro station ´Stadion` is within six minutes walking distance. Having a central location, Vienna’s International Airport (VIE) connects to all major European cities, and via the A4 motorway, the airport can be reached in 20 minutes. For delegates driving the hotel has 150 parking spaces. Alternatively, the Vienna AirportLines bus stops at the Stadion Center which is less than ten minutes walking distance from the hotel. Vienna’s Convention Centers are 1.3km respective and 4km away.

Design

The Hilton Vienna Waterfront has a contemporary design style that is of business standard. The interior décor of public areas and bedrooms is modern and functional rather than high-end and uses glass to provide a light interior.

Bedrooms

The hotel has 367 bedrooms with 232 Standard rooms for HCP meetings. All guestrooms are air-conditioned and offer tea & coffee-making facilities and a fully stocked mini-bar however these can be emptied upon request. For the business traveller there is a work desk, complimentary Wi-Fi, a laptop safe, iron/ironing board. 

Meeting Space

The hotel has 13 flexible meeting rooms all on the ground floor, away from public areas. The largest is the Grand Waterfront Hall 1-3, and combined accommodates up to 138 cabaret/350 theatre style. The meeting room sizes support advisory boards, speaker meetings, and training, as well as being appropriate for internal meetings such as international brand team or sales meetings.

Experience

The hotel has vast experience in hosting both internal and external meetings from the healthcare sector including local and international advisory boards, speaker meetings, and training, as well as international brand team and sales meetings. The hotel is a short distance from the Vienna Congress Centre and regularly hosts accommodation blocks and symposia for attendees of International Healthcare Congresses.

Fitness

The hotel provides guests with free weights and machines but there is no internal pool and spa treatments are not available.

Sales and marketing language, and imagery, are used to attract the weekend leisure market however, the pool and outdoor terrace are seasonal. The hotel also uses its proximity to the stadium and tourist attractions (i.e. Viennese Prater/amusement park) but this should not detract bookers from considering the hotel as appropriate for both internal and external meetings.
