Hyatt Regency Amsterdam is a business hotel with five function spaces in Amsterdam’s former Emma’s Children hospital established in 19th century.
Located in the eastern part of the city, the hotel is easily accessible by metro, tram, car or buses, which can also stop at the hotel entrance.
• 20 min driving distance to Schiphol airport
• 10 min by metro to the Amsterdam Central Station
• 15 min by metro to the Amsterdam RAI Convention Center
• 9 min walking distance to OLVG hospital and
• the University of Amsterdam is just across the street
For guests traveling by car, the hotel is easily accessible from the A10 highway and the hotel offers 40 onsite parking spaces. The nearest metro and tram stations are just 400 m walking distance from the hotel at Weesperplein.
The hotel’s design style is a modern contemporary with a botanical theme inspired by nearby Hortus Botanicus botanical gardens. Botanical artwork is illustrated in all 211 guestrooms. Excluding suites, the hotel’s rooms follow the same design and colour theme. 103 Standard rooms feature business facilities such as a workspace, laptop-size safe, iron and ironing board, and coffee-making facilities. Higher room categories i.e. View rooms or Club level are the same design as Standard rooms, however, have access to the Regency Club included. Regency Club access is not offered for group bookings.
The restaurant Mama Makan is where guests take breakfast and lunch and serve authentic Indonesian cuisine with a contemporary twist in the evening. It can accommodate up to 150 people and can be semi-privatized for group bookings. For private dinner requests, we can offer exclusive use of the Foyer or one of the meeting rooms.
The hotel has a 24-hour Fitness Centre, sauna and treatment room.
The hotel has five function spaces total of 597 square meters, all with natural daylight and located on the ground floor next to each other. Delegates can access function spaces via a dedicated entrance and individual events can be privatized if booked exclusively.
The pillar-less Ballroom accommodates up to 216 guests in theatre style. Daylight floods into the 191 sq.m function space, through the floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the Singelgracht Canal. The modern, open-plan design of the room offers opportunities for customizable layouts including sofas, water stations, and botanical decoration. A connected Foyer can be used for coffee breaks, breakout sessions, lunch or dinners. The Multi-Functional Foyer is accessible by a separate private entrance, which can be used for private group check-in, or as a hospitality area.
Meeting Room A & B offers two meeting rooms that can be used separately (36-51 sq. m.) or connected total of 80 sq m. of space. The rooms have natural daylight, ample space and flexibility for brainstorming sessions, and flexible meeting setups. Meeting room C is a fixed boardroom of 51 sq. m. for up to 12 people which is an option for a break-out room, an office location for board meetings.
The Hyatt Regency Amsterdam hotel is healthcare sector aware and has experience in hosting various healthcare meetings including product launch meetings, clinical research trainings, workshops, sales, and board meetings.
The hotel is officially unrated although some marketing material and websites, including Google, give the impression of a venue with luxury tendencies. This is targeted towards the weekend leisure market.
