General Overview

The Van der Valk Schipol hotel is a 4-star conference hotel for transient business travellers. With 714 bedrooms and meeting space capable of holding meeting up to 850, meetings and events are their core business.

Location

The hotel is located next to the A4 highway and just 10 minutes from Amsterdam’s Schipol International Airport and public transport stations.

For delegates driving to the venue there is ample free parking and a complimentary shuttle service to and from Schiphol Airport for hotel guests.

Design

The external architecture of the Van der Valk Hotel Schiphol is modern contemporary, which continues inside with the use of light colours and tones.

Meeting Space                                                  

The recently fully renovated rooms at Van der Valk Hotel Schiphol are equipped with advanced technical facilities. All 25 meeting and conference rooms are on the 1st floor. With meeting rooms capable of holding Ad boards in boardroom style of 14 to Theatre style conferences for 850 - ideal for large plenary sessions, dynamic breakout sessions, or fully catered meetings. The largest room, “New York,” accommodates up to 800 guests, making it ideal for large-scale events. The facilities are also well-suited for more intimate gatherings, with various meeting and conference rooms for smaller groups.

The four spacious lobbies—two of which, measuring over 500 m², adjoin the New York room—offer space for breaks or informal networking moments. The exclusive “Shanghai” room, with its panoramic view, provides a unique setting for board meetings or private dining.

Subject to availability, the 1st floor can be privatised for use.

Bedrooms

The 714 bedrooms are shared over 13-bedroom floors with hotel rooms, and all come with flat screen TV, air conditioning, safe, desk, sitting area and complimentary Wi-Fi. A Nespresso machine with tea options

The upgraded ‘Deluxe’ hotel rooms have a mini-fridge and Nespresso machine which can be emptied on request should they be needed for HCPs.

Restaurant

The hotel has two restaurants,  one serving a la carte with 340 seats and one buffet with 370 seats. Both are on the Ground Floor and serve classic French dishes, typical Italian dishes and South American and Indian specialties. Our Indian chefs also specialize in authentic Indian cuisine.

Both restaurants can be privatised on request but for smaller groups, the hotel can offer two brasserie options, one is open for all guests, and one is only for private groups.

Experience

The hotel plays host to numerous HCP meetings, in particular, symposiums for two global healthcare companies.

Fitness

The hotel offers guests, access to fitness gym with free weights and exercise machines. An indoor pool and sauna is available but there is no spa and treatments available

These facilities are at the ground floor at the back of the hotel and not visible from the meeting spaces or public areas.

The Van der Valk Hotel Schiphol is a true business 4-star conference hotel with an airport area location, away from the tourist areas that Amsterdam has to offer.

External travel sites use 'luxury' in descriptions of bedrooms however, i is unlikely that they would be considered inappropriate for HCP allocation.
