Compliance Summary
Introduction
The NürnbergConvention Center (NCC) is located on the grounds of NürnbergMesse - one of Europe’s largest exhibition and convention centers.
With NCC Mitte, NCC Ost, and NCC West, as well as the multifunctional Frankenhalle and direct access to 16 exhibition halls, it offers versatile spaces and flexible layout options for events of all types and sizes.
Location
NürnbergMesse is located in the south-east of Nuremberg within a dedicated exhibition and business district adjacent to the city's major transport infrastructure. The surrounding environment consists primarily of commercial developments, exhibition facilities and business premises rather than residential or tourist areas, creating a professional setting for large-scale conferences and exhibitions.
Delegates benefit from excellent transport connections. The underground (U-Bahn) station "Messe " is located directly outside the venue, offering direct access to Nuremberg Central Station in approximately 8 minutes. Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg can be reached in around 25 minutes by underground or approximately 15 minutes by taxi. The venue also has direct access to four Germany’s motorway network. NürnbergMesse provides around 13,000 on-site parking spaces across the exhibition campus, as well as dedicated coach parking and drop-off areas directly adjacent to the entrances, ensuring efficient arrivals and departures for large groups.
Design
NürnbergMesse features a contemporary exhibition campus comprising modern glass, steel and concrete architecture designed specifically for international exhibitions and congresses. The buildings are connected through covered walkways, spacious entrance halls and large exhibition boulevards, allowing delegates to move efficiently between congress centres, exhibition halls and meeting facilities.
Internally, the venue provides modern, purpose-built conference facilities incorporating extensive natural daylight, spacious foyers and flexible event spaces. The conference centres are designed to support large delegate numbers while maintaining clear separation between exhibition, congress and meeting activities. Dedicated congress entrances, generous circulation areas and modular room layouts contribute to an efficient and professional environment suitable for healthcare and pharmaceutical events.
Meeting Spaces
NürnbergMesse, together with its NürnbergConvention Centers, offers more than 50 meeting rooms in addition to 16 exhibition halls, accommodating events ranging from small board meetings to international congresses with several thousand delegates. The venue features highly flexible meeting spaces supported by advanced audiovisual technology, extensive exhibition areas, and generous breakout capacities.
The largest congress auditorium accommodates up to 1,200 delegates in a theatre-style setup with front projection. A wide range of divisible conference rooms, seminar suites, and breakout areas across the convention centers allows organisers to design complex programmes with parallel plenary sessions, workshops, exhibitions, and networking formats. Spacious foyer areas provide ideal settings for registration, sponsor exhibitions, catering, and poster presentations. The convention centers and exhibition halls can be fully privatised for exclusive use, supporting enhanced security and confidentiality where required, particularly for healthcare and scientific events.
Bedrooms
NürnbergMesse does not operate on-site hotel accommodation but has 22.000 beds in aprox.150 hotels nearby, from 1 to 5 stars, many of which are connected to the venue by direct underground services or short taxi journeys.
The absence of on-site accommodation allows organisers to select hotels appropriate to delegate budgets and event requirements while maintaining convenient transport connections between the exhibition centre and city hotels.
Restaurant and Public Spaces
NürnbergMesse provides comprehensive event catering through multiple restaurants, cafés, bistros and hospitality outlets distributed throughout the exhibition campus. Catering services are designed specifically to support exhibitions, congresses and conferences, with flexible menus tailored to individual event requirements.
Private dining, gala dinners, networking receptions and hospitality functions can be accommodated within dedicated event spaces, exhibition halls and conference rooms, all of which can be configured for exclusive use. Large entrance foyers, boulevard areas and exhibition concourses provide extensive networking space for delegate registration, sponsor displays, coffee breaks and informal business meetings. Catering operations are fully integrated into conference programmes and can support events of varying sizes across the venue.
Experience
NürnbergMesse has extensive experience hosting healthcare, pharmaceutical and life sciences events, including international medical congresses, scientific conferences, healthcare exhibitions, investigator meetings, product launches and professional association meetings. The venue regularly delivers complex multi-day events incorporating large plenary sessions, technical exhibitions, educational programmes and extensive breakout schedules.
The venue works closely with international professional congress organisers, scientific associations and healthcare event agencies and benefits from Nuremberg's strong links with universities, research organisations and healthcare institutions. Its large-scale infrastructure and experienced event management teams make it particularly suitable for international healthcare meetings requiring substantial delegate capacity and exhibition facilities.
Fitness
NürnbergMesse does not provide fitness facilities, swimming pools, spa services or wellness amenities as part of its conference infrastructure. The venue does not position itself as a leisure or wellness destination.
Compliance Hotspot
NürnbergMesse is a purpose-built exhibition and congress centre and therefore does not operate under a hotel star-rating classification.
The venue does not market itself as a luxury, boutique, resort or entertainment destination. Its promotional materials focus on exhibition space, congress facilities, accessibility, technical infrastructure and event delivery. Although cultural events may occasionally take place as part of individual client programmes, NürnbergMesse does not provide regular live entertainment or leisure programming as part of its standard venue offering.
From a healthcare compliance perspective, NürnbergMesse presents a very low compliance risk profile. The venue is purpose-built for professional conferences and exhibitions, has extensive experience delivering international healthcare and scientific congresses, offers fully privatisable meeting environments, and is free from leisure or destination-focused marketing. Its business-only operating model, large-scale conference infrastructure and strong transport connectivity make it highly suitable for pharmaceutical and healthcare meetings.
