General Overview

PortAventura Hotel and Convention centre are part of a multipurpose complex of 4* hotels, one 5* and two theme parks. The Convention Centre is typically proposed with hotel bedrooms at the PortAventura hotel, a 3-minute walk away.

The main asset of this venue is the capacity of the convention centre with enough bed stock for large size groups and can offer F&B spaces without having to leave the venue.

Within a standalone building, with a capacity to hold meetings up to 3000 with meeting rooms and auditoriums, the venue plays regular host for large sales conferences for between 400 and 1500.

Location

The complex is located 1 hour and 100km, south of Barcelona airport, on the edge of the town of Salou.

For delegates driving the complex has over 4000 parking spaces including 270 at the convention centre. For group travel coach bays are available.

Design

Purpose built and mainly stone-clad exterior, the Convention centre is very modern and contemporary and integrated in the surrounding landscape.

Meeting Space

There are two main meeting floors with the biggest meeting room (2800sqm) on the ground floor and on the second floor there is a 2000sqm ballroom, and two large rooms that can be divided with 1800 and 750sqm each. Access between floors is via dedicated escalators.

As a stand-alone building, the venue can be privatised.

Bedrooms

The PortAventura hotel provides 500 bedrooms and is a 3-minute walk from the convention centre.

Restaurant

The hotel PortAventura for has 2 buffet restaurants seating for 600 between them and serves mediterranean cuisine and can be privatised on request. There are also 2 a la carte restaurant for smaller groups.

Experience

The complex has previous experience of hosting internal meetings of between 500 to 1000 delegates.

Fitness

The hotel PortAventura provides guests access to a fitness gym with free weights and exercise machines. The hotel has a pool but there is no spa and treatments are not available.

The PortAventura is a multiurpose complex that includes a convention centre, 4 and 5 star hotels and 2 theme parks. 

The theme parks are likely to be considered a distraction for any HCP meetings however, for large internal meetings, there is no doubt that this venue has all the meeting capacities, and facilities required.
