General Overview
The Crowne Plaza Budapest is currently unrated but aligns to the facilities and service expected from a hotel with a 4* superior status.
Crowne Plaza is recognised as a business hotel brand with lifestyle element and a range of facilities for both business and leisure travellers.
Location
The hotel is in Budapest’s city centre, on a busy main road, opposite commercial businesses, and next to the main train and metro station of Nyugati Palyaudvar.
The airport can be reached in 30 minutes by car or 53 minutes using public transport.
The city’s congress centre, HungExpo, is a 15-minute taxi ride away. For guests driving, the hotel manages 47 chargeable parking spaces and for group travel, coaches can drop off and pick up outside although the nearest car parking is 10 minutes’ walk away.
Design
The exterior design style is modern contemporary with clean lines and large glass windows presenting a stylish and sophisticated appearance. lot of light and wooden touch
Inside is a blend of modern design and functional elegance with geometric and abstract Hungarian art adding to the theming, with the large windows providing a lot of natural light.
Meeting Space
Of the 13 meeting rooms, all located on the 1st floor mezzanine level, 11 have natural daylight and are pillar less. These are supported by a large foyer area, ideal for catering functions and networking opportunities. The floor can be privatised on request.
Two ballrooms, A and B, area of the same size and can accommodate 175 in theatre style, 400 when combined.
The remaining offer spaces from 30 to 100 guests and provide the breakout and workshop spaces to support large conferences.

Bedrooms
The hotel’s 230 bedrooms are split across the 1 – 4th floors and standard rooms contain a work desk, laptop safe, tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary wi-fi, wired internet upon request, 2 bottles of mineral water upon arrival, small mini bar to store the guests’ items, bathroom, slippers
Standard rooms that include mini-fridge, bathrobes and Nespresso machines, can have these removed on request if being considered for HCP allocation.
Restaurant
The hotel’s main Cult Restaurant seats 175 and is on the mezzanine and serves International cuisine with Hungarian twist.
Other restaurants or catering areas include the Foyer on the mezzanine and is suitable for standing receptions for 175-200 pax. The Cult terrace seats 150 pax seated on the mezzanine and only available in good weather. The Gold + Silver meeting rooms can seat 240 pax on the mezzanine, and the Axis Café & Lounge – seats 45 pax on the ground floor, Terrace of Axis Café & Lounge – seated 20 pax.
Experience
The hotel regularly hosts both internal and external healthcare and life science company meetings.
Fitness
The hotel offers guests a fitness gym with free weights and exercise machines.
The hotel does NOT have a spa or pool but does have a sauna that is managed by the hotel.
These fitness areas are on the top floor (the 4th floor) and away from the meeting spaces.
The city’s tourist sites and areas are close but not visible from the hotel. The hotel is connected to a high-end shopping centre but is not visible from within the hotel.
As the hotel is currently unrated, further approvals may be required once its rating is confirmed.
