General Overview

The CCH -Congress Center Hamburg is a new venue that opened in 2022 located in the park "Planten un Blomen".  The complex can provide up to 50 multifunctional halls for conventions and events of any kind with up to 12.000 participants, spread across four levels and three event sections. 

Location

Located in the center of Hamburg, the inner city can be reached on foot in just 5 minutes. The Dammtor mainline train station (with access to high-speed and commuter trains) is just a few steps away. Even the city's airport  is located no more than 25 minutes away and well connected to the public transportation network

Design

The modernized and upgraded CCH – Congress Center Hamburg presents a light-flooded modern exterior design, with internal room concepts and state-of-the-art AV systems. 

As soon as you set foot into the new entry area you get a foretaste of the unique character of this building – a magnificent impression that continues to build as you walk through the generously-dimensioned entrance hall and Belvedere. Throughout the CCH, an innovative lighting system provides perfect lighting conditions by day and night. Sustainability was a top priority in the remodeling project. The CCH is the first, and thus far, the only existing German convention center to earn Gold certification in the Revitalization category from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). This is the highest DGNB sustainability certification level awarded to an existing convention building to date.Needless to mention, the entire complex is barrier-free!

Meeting Space

As one of Europe’s most advanced and largest convention centers with 36,000 square meters of available space, it breaks the mold. The number "12,000" has an almost magical significance: 12,000 square meters of event space, another 12,000 square meters of foyer space, and a total number of 12,000 visitors who can attend events at the CCH simultaneously. The complex can provide up to 50 multifunctional halls for conventions and events of any kind with 500 or more persons, spread across four levels and three event sections

Catering:

There are no permanent restaurants at the CCH but Käfer Service Hamburg GmbH is the preferred caterer.

Experience

The Congress Center Hamburg specializes in the healthcare sector and supports a wide range of meetings, including continuing medical education, congresses with various associations from pharma, and product training, both nationally and internationally. Additional support is given by The Gesundheitswirtschaft Hamburg GmbH (GWHH) which is the cluster agency for the health economy. Founded in March 2009 by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg and the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce, the GWHH is primarily funded from public grants from the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.  There are no earnings from sales. The objective of the GWHH is to establish and maintain a sustainable network across all areas of the healthcare industry and to promote Hamburg as a business location. . BIO Europe 2019 - The 25th annual BIO-Europe® event is the largest biotechnology partnering conference held in Europe with around 5.000 participants

DIVI 2022 - The 23rd Congress of The German Interdisciplinary Association for Intensive and Emergency Medicine with 5.700 participants

DGVS 2022 - The German Society for Gastroenterology, Digestive and Metabolic Diseases with 6.200 participants

EACCI 2023 - The European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology with approximately 8,000 participants

This is a multipurpose venue which hosts conferences, exhibitions, concerts and other pay to enter leisure entertainment events. This will be reflected in sales and marketing messaging and in our opinion should not distract bookers looking to use the venue for healthcare meetings and events.
