General Overview

The Clarion Hotel Helsinki, as with all hotels in Finland, is not officially rated, but aligns to the facilities and service of a 4-star property.

With the capability of hosting meetings for up to 700 and a bedroom capacity of over 400, the hotel is a popular meeting and event hotel, supporting large residential meetings.

The hotel has been awarded Finland-s Leading Conference Hotel at World Travel Awards and Finland’s Best MICE Hotel at World MICE Awards!

Location

This 16-floor hotel is located within a urban neighbourhood within the city centre, approx. 2 km and a 12 minute taxi ride from the main railway station. The tramline is next to the hotel.

Helsinki Airport can be reached in 40 minutes by public transport or taxi and for congress attendees, guests are a 30-minute public transport ride from Helsinki Messekeskus.

For delegates driving, the hotel utilises a nearby parking hall where a fee applies.

For group travel, coaches can drop and pick up at dedicated bus parking spaces.

Design

The hotel was opened 2016 and at 76 meters high, dominates the waterfront with a two-tower building, modern and Scandinavian style with light colours, many windows, open spaces etc.

Inside the Scandinavian touch continues with more light colours, natural daylight and Nordic design in furniture.

Meeting Space

All 11 meeting rooms are in the adjacent and older renovated warehouse, with inside access from hotel’s lobby area but can be closed off to provide a private entrance on request.

The main meeting room with a capacity for 700 in theatre style is on one floor, with 9 additional rooms on others floor and the hotels main restaurant on lower floor.

With the layout of flexible and multi-purpose rooms, conferences, seminars, dinners, exhibitions, workshops are possible as is privatisation.

Bedrooms

The hotels 425 bedrooms have floor to ceiling windows and are split from the 2nd to 15th floors and include a work desk, laptop safe / tea/coffee making facilities, complimentary wi-fi, ironing board and iron, minibar.

For HCP meetings the mini fridge can be closed on request.

Restaurant

On the hotel’s ground floor, is the 350-seater main restaurant, The Social. A bistro style restaurant serving classic dishes.

The restaurant can be privatised but for dinner meetings involving HCPs, a meeting room is recommended.

The hotels bar is on the Top floor and the ‘Living Room’ is available for coffees and snacks during the day.

Experience

Since its opening in 2016, the hotel has played host to both internal and external HCPs meetings of all sizes.

The hotel provides guests with a gym with free weights and exercise machines, both?

The hotel has a swimming pool and sauna, and all facilities are on the 16th floor of the hotel building so in a separate area away from meeting spaces.

The hotel is described as a design hotel, and with 16 floors and floor to ceiling windows in bedrooms, naturally, the higher floor rooms will come with views across the surrounding city and waterfront areas.

The leisure facilities are all on the top floor, we away from the meeting rooms which are on the lower floors.
